Sunlight is especially precious on this day, the winter solstice. As we endure the shortest day of the year, we celebrate the windows that allow light into some of our favorite spaces from past BSDB projects.

One from the archives. A rewarding collaboration with our good friends at the New York mulitdisciplinary design studio @theunionworks. We executed a top to bottom, inside and out gut renovation of this Nolita retail space for @loefflerrandall. Our in-house shop also fabricated + installed the refined shelving, display pieces, and surface details throughout. We’re continually inspired by the impeccable taste and sheer talent of the clients and collaborators we’ve been lucky to work with for over 20 years now in New York City. .

New York City, there are many reasons why I still call you “home sweet home”. You’re beautiful, fascinating, active, attaching. But what beats all this is simple: the New Yorkers. My friends. Who became family some 10-11 years ago. While I wasn’t able to squeeze everyone in my work schedule, I saw many and even had the surprise to meet with my French little cousin from London and his aunt. These precious moments and hugs made for a perfect work trip. Thank you New York. ❤️

New York, I miss you. I may have moved to California almost 4 years ago (dang!), I will always be one of yours. Once a New Yorker, always a New Yorker! Be well, stay safe, my friends. You are all in my heart. Can’t wait to squeeze y’all soon enough. ❤️

One of many Christmas weeks at Stinson Beach with Harriet this particular vacation we had the luck of visiting the French Laundry for a truffle tasting menu along with days at the beach and eating oysters with family & friends
