POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Grassroots football is where the women’s game begins. ⚽

Every week, players everywhere lace up, turn up, and play purely for the love of it. Their stories are electric, inspiring, and mostly untold, so we’re shining a light on them. Every Game Lives Here. 🌍

First up, London: @intermelanin 🧡💜
Born in Peckham Rye off the post-Euros hype, Inter Melanin started as a low-stakes weekly kickabout, no boots or experience needed. Friends brought friends, and a movement was born. Today, they’re a thriving, joyful space for mixed-ability women, trans, and non-binary Black and POC players across North & South London.

Your community is out there. We’re here to help you find yours. 💛

What a day! ⚽❤️

Today @intermelaninsouth and @intermelaninnorth were invited by @fullcircle_london and @xotic.global to be part of an incredible community football tournament, and it was everything football should be 😤

Great energy and friendly competition!

A special shoutout to @baile_ijo for teaming up with us and showing amazing sportsmanship throughout the day. You guys genuinely made the experience even better! 🫂

Days like this remind us that there's nothing more powerful than communities coming together, joining forces, and putting joy at the centre of it all

Big love as well to the @daytimers_uk and @reprezentradio crews for bringing the energy 🔥

Here's to many more days like this, more collaborations, and more moments that bring people together ⚽✨

I had the chance to catch up with @intermelaninnorth on a rainy night and hear about the unique club’s journey!

IMFC is a community-focused club where what happens off the pitch is just as important as what happens on it.

Thank you 2025 for the growth, new experiences and new people (the old ones too). I asked myself "What is my life?" A lot this year and was mainly for positive reasons, I feel like I've truly leveled up this year. I hope 2026 is bigger and better, God willing.

What a year for the inter Melanin fam 🖤⚽️

From throwing our first tournament, to wins, losses and lessons against incredible teams. From football pitches to dance floors, end-of-year parties and real conversations about what it means to be part of the Inter Melanin community.

So proud of what we’ve built together. So much more to come in 2026 ✨

I recently had the honour of representing my football team @intermelanin at the @cpfc_w vs @sufc_women game. At half time I got to speak in front of a stadium full of people about Intermelanin, the work we do as a club for black and poc women and non-binary people as well as the importance of clubs such as ours. I truly hope I did my teammate proud. ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏾✊🏿

Club spotlight time ⏰️

Say hello to... @intermelanin 🌟

Established in 2023 as a non-competitive club with South and North teams in London 📍

They want to address the race and ethnicity in gap in football, by providing an inclusive space to play ⚽

“We’re here, building a new way. Changing the face of football forever.” ❤️
