Full-body stretch. Full heart. Steady breath. Add generous amounts of sunshine, music, laughter, exceptional food (thank you, Oli!), and just the right amount of Crémant - all wrapped up in the vibrant beauty of southern 🇫🇷. Sometimes life doesn’t just come close to perfection. Sometimes it quietly nails it.

Thank you, Elena, Melissa, and Chloë, for creating this wonderful space - one filled with joy, acceptance, and peace. For pouring so much love, care, and dedication into this project, and for somehow magically bringing all these wonderful souls together in one place. You created something that goes far beyond a retreat. A little world where people could simply be, connect, laugh, breathe, and feel completely at ease. 🧘🏽‍♀️
I’m leaving with a very full heart, a sun-kissed soul, and so much gratitude for having been part of it.

I’m going to try, but there are really no words to describe what a perfect place the Château de Queille is. 🩵

An 18th century stone castle, immaculately restored and designed, nestled in the wooded foothills of the Pyrenees mountains, complete with a breathtaking countryside views, gorgeous infinity pool, Steinway grand piano, airy yoga spaces, storybook kitchen, our own private chapel for music-making, flower-drenched grounds, on-site river for wild swimming… it’s truly the stuff of dreams and fairy tales. Add to all of that 6 days of bespoke yoga for musicians, a private chef who used to work for Ottolenghi, and music-making in whatever form our hearts desire… this will be the #IntermissionRetreat of a lifetime. On this String Tip Tuesday, Melissa White(@afroviolinist), GRAMMY-winning violinist and founding member of the Harlem Quartet, shares how to find comfort in discomfort with some strength-building exercises.

For example, she shows how warming up with “finger pushups” helps produce a stronger tone. 🎶
