“Preeeessing guys!” - Introducing Luca, another Hawkins legend who’s been with the team since the beginning of time.

Luca helped assist the team for a season, injecting a much needed level of belief in our ability, particularly when it came to playing out from the back and keeping possession. An approach that went down an absolute storm, especially amongst the back line.

Off the pitch, Luca is wonderfully quotable, full of charisma and passion for life. He’s a key figure in keeping everyone entertained on a night out, effortlessly and naturally hilarious.

Professionally, he’s a successful architect, running his own business and working with private clients and businesses across the UK. A dedicated father and husband, they really don’t come much better than this Italian gentleman 🇮🇹

OK, I admit, I got these guys into a cheesy pose. But what better photo could there be to perfectly encapsulate what it means to be part of the @hawkins_football_club family? It’s friendship first, football second.

When I started the team back in 2018, with the help of @mheathfield my sole desire was to bring a group of strangers together and kick a ball around on a Sunday. Since then, the team has grown and evolved, but for me, the core principles have never changed.

Players come and go, ‘miscommunications’ are a constant, but ultimately, when you wear the badge, you’re part of something much bigger than football. You’re a bunch of mates, having a laugh and sharing something together. And that, for me, has always been what Hawkins is about.

@hawkins_football_club sitting pretty at the top of the table.

How did we get there? Obviously, the new shirts.

Courtesy of our new club sponsor @internetfoot, we’re stronger than ever. Better looking too, somehow.

Big shoutout to @httpbenito for making the whole thing happen. 💰🤝

Whatta man. Introducing another one of Hawkins’ finest, Phill.

But don’t be fooled by the nice guy persona. Phill will leave you in a cloud of dust and tears as he accelerates past you down the wing at frankly unnecessary speeds. There is no competition. Phill doesn’t just outpace every player in his own team, he’s quicker than everyone across the division (probably).

When he’s not making you question your own declining pace, Phill is a high end watch designer, creating masterpieces for some of the biggest brands in the world.

Away from his two equally important careers at Hawkins and in watch design, Phill is a family man, competent chef, inquisitive traveller, and lover of reading and writing.

But most importantly, he’s a proud family man, a great friend and someone who’s always there for the people around him.

A true Hawkins legend.
