I left my career in engineering behind to pursue art, and now I’ve handmade over 3,700 pockets of magic. When I planned out my goals 12 years ago, I didn’t think becoming a full-time artist would be an option. I spent nearly a decade of my life pursuing engineering.. graduating from college with my bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, deciding whether or not to accept the offer to pursue my masters degree in biomedical engineering at UC Berkeley or John’s Hopkins.. to ultimately deciding to choose the professional path and start my career. When I was let go from job, I didn’t really have a choice on what I wanted to do or where I wanted to go. I just had to start and sometimes, that’s all it takes. I don’t have it all figured out, and I don’t know if I ever will.. but I’m so grateful for where I am now, and for all of you for everything you’ve helped me do. I see almost all of your messages and comments, and though I can’t respond to all of them, they mean the absolute world to me. Thank you for being here on this path with me 🥹💗 and if you’re struggling with deciding on what to do or feeling stuck where you are.. I’ll say that sometimes it’s just about taking the next step forward not knowing what’s going to happen. 💗
