It’s Midnight now and it’s been a long day, but I somehow got it done. After a full day of work and family duties I picked about a dozen blue claws by myself. These crabs 🦀 came from our Maryland trip and are gonna make great crab cakes. I love catching and eating these little critters. I haven’t gone crabbing 🦀 in about 3 years and was so glad that I got back into it again. I learned to crab in my grandpa’s canal in Oceanside, Long Island as a young boy and always loved it. My wife Sandy, son Luis (15) and infant Victor (11mo) did two days of crabbing while in MD and it was awesome. I literally don’t know another person who puts an infant in a portable playpen on a fishing pier while on vacation. LOL. Victor is the best baby and is so agreeable. I hope he grows up to appreciate all the animals we catch and eat as well as the waters in which they swim. Crabbing is a great family activity and I recommend everyone give it a try at least once. A thank you to my Grandpa for having the patience to teach a young Robbie to catch and cook these crabs all those years ago!
