TODAY IS WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY

Check in on your people.

The friend who makes everyone belly laugh. The mum who shows up for everyone else. The person who always says, “I’m fine.” The one who’s gone quiet lately.

Sometimes, the people struggling most are the best at hiding it.

After many years supporting others in mental health and wellness, I believe one of the most powerful things we can offer is connection without judgement.

Not sure what to say?

“I’ve been thinking about you. How are you REALLY doing?”

“You don’t have to pretend you’re okay with me.”

“Would you like a listening ear or some company?”

“Can I bring you a meal or go for a walk with you?”

Listen without trying to fix.
Offer practical support.
Check in again.

And if YOU are struggling, you don’t have to be the strong one all the time. You deserve care and support, too.

In Australia, Lifeline is available 24/7 on 13 11 14.

Think of ONE person you haven’t checked in on lately.

Send the message.
Make the call.
Invite them for a cuppa.

Let’s create a world where people feel safe enough to say, “I’m not okay,” and are met with compassion, not judgement.

Sometimes, the smallest act of connection can help someone feel a little less alone.

Who will you check in on today?

P.S. I presented on this yesterday. If you need someone to talk to, please reach out. xx

In this episode, of "Spiritually Fierce - the podcast" Ricci (@intuitiveintelligenceinstitute) host of thr 'Spiritually Fierce podcast, is joined by Barbara Amrita, an intuition coach based in Switzerland.

In addition to being fluent in six languages, Barbara is dedicated to supporting people in developing their unique intuitive language.

Barbara shares that for her, intuition is an innate guidance system that everyone is born with, though people are often trained out of it as they grow up in a world that values the rational mind. Barbara shares her most potent tools to increase access to intuition and guides us in a profound practice to open our intuitive capacities.

✨️🫱In this episode, we discuss:

-Intuition vs. Spirituality: not all intuitives are necessarily spiritual

-Embracing Humanness and Darkness: overcoming the idea that intuition is a bypass to our shadows

-The Dual Qualities of Intuition: In everyday life, intuition serves two main purposes: as a tool for decision-making and as an internal place of rest where one can find peace, home, and safety regardless of external circumstances

After spending 3 days on a ‘Self Reclamation Retreat’ with @intuitiveintelligenceinstitute , where we get to go deep, go within, release our subconscious fears, feel and release the aches and the weight of the world stored in the body .

The nervous system gets to relearn:

It’s safe to be here.

It’s safe to be seen.

Its safe to be you

It’s safe to feel joy

Life doesn’t haven’t to be always serious to be meaningful

Sometimes , you just gotta dance !

To the woman who holds the room.

You don't get to watch yourself do this. You're too far inside it — the breath before you speak, the hand that finds a foot on the mat, the moment the whole circle exhales at once because you gave it permission to.

But your people see it. And the women who haven't found you yet are looking for exactly this: proof that the space is real, that it is held, that the guide isn't performing but praying.

This is what I come for. Not the group photo at the end. The half-light. The blanket-covered stillness. The way your guests go somewhere with their eyes closed and trust you to bring them back.

I move quietly, I know when to put the camera down, and I've sat on the other side of the circle for enough years to know what is sacred and what is simply a good shot.

If you're a facilitator who wants your next retreat witnessed this way — for your sales page, your community, and for you to remember who you were in that room — the door is open.

Message me today for a quote.

A couple of weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending a self-reclamation retreat with @intuitiveintelligenceinstitute at @mountfrenchlodge

It was equally restorative and powerful, divine and peaceful and just what I needed in preparation for hosting my own in October in the beautiful @sunshinecoasthinterland

I'm a strong advocate for deep soulfulness support for parents caring for children with life-altering diagnoses and special needs. Those facing challenges and situations most don't even consider. And often stuck in dismal systems they had no desire to be in.

Exercise isn't self-care.
Medication isn't sufficient support.
Words of affirmation just don't cut it.

Being held energetically, supported holistically, and nurtured intentionally while surrounded by mothers and carers who get it, simply and undeniably offers different type of healing. On a soulful level.

It's not about sitting in the pain or trying to run away from the victim mentality. It's about honouring the curveball you've been thrown and not losing yourself or your soul's desire for more amidst it!

My first retreat is being offered and gratefully accepted by #stxbp1 mamas, and that brings my heart more joy than I can convey. It is a great honour to serve these women, who are on this rare path like me, but each living a varied experience of this!

I can't wait to share more post-retreat 💛

Whether we haerenga by road or by soul, it's the same hunger at the end of the day: good food, honest ingredients, and manawa in the hands that made it.

During our last retreat at @mountfrenchlodge the private chef Ang made sure every woman who had gathered was tended to with divinely prepared meals. The smell of her cooking would find us down at the shala, where we sat looking out over the mountains and the farmland stretched across the valley.

When a woman has given everything to doing the deep work of deep faith, the kindest thing the world can do is feed her. Ang did that, three times a day, without ever making it feel like anything less than devotion.

Nobody called it ceremony, but it was.

Seventeen women gathered around one table, passing bowls with the same hands they'd been holding each other with an hour before.

Seventeen women, fed back to themselves by one woman's love.

These are eternal memories too, even if no one thinks to keep them.

Ngā mihi, Ang. You carried us more than you know.

What happens when a woman stops performing and starts arriving.

These were made over a few days in the glorious mountains @mountfrenchlodge hosted by @riccijaneadams and @intuitiveintelligenceinstitute, with women who let me see them somewhere between who they'd been and who they were becoming. Nobody was posing. Most of the time nobody knew I'd pressed the shutter. That threshold, the second and a half where a woman meets herself, is the only thing I'm ever really photographing.

Swipe through slowly. It went that way for them too.
Shared with love and with permission.

It is an exquisite privilege to witness a woman in devotion.

To watch her move through the stories that have held her back, the ones stored so deep in the body they've become its shape, and to see her release them back to God in the purest, most organic expression she has. Her divinity shining straight through her humanity.

Every shudder, every shake, every sound she didn't plan to make. When I capture her in that moment I am not separate from her. I feel it move through me too. Something shifts in both of us at once, and it is palpable.

To be trusted with that is the greatest honour of my work. To hold a woman in her raw beauty, and to eternalise it, so that one day, when she needs to remember who she is, she can lay witness to herself.

This is what I mean by sacred.

Early this morning, we had our closing ceremony for a year-long program I was undertaking, training as a Spiritual Director ~ A High Priestess. It was bittersweet, both sad and liberating. The journey has resulted in me feeling out of my depth at times and equally at home all of the time.

I have trained with @intuitiveintelligenceinstitute since 2020, and this is the highest certified qualification I can obtain with the institute.

I have trained in cosmology, building community, storytelling as sacred practice, creating ritual and ceremony, and devotional leadership; creating a 10,000-word thesis (still in progress), learning the art and craft of life-changing writing, and so much more.

There is nothing more potent than women lifting women up, facing egoic unchecked narratives, dismantling subconscious fear, being unafraid for each other, and seeing each other in their highest form. A sisterhood formed under the full moon in India, and strengthened by loyalty, courage, and divine love 💫

I feel so blessed and honoured. THANK YOU, @riccijaneadams . There aren't words to convey my gratitude and admiration for all that you are as a teacher and a mentor 🙏
