Criatura is a three-story creative space designed by Ioanna Vlachaki to celebrate childhood and the art of ceramics, bringing children and parents together to learn and experiment around the same table. Within the warm embrace of plywood, blue accents and movable elements highlight the space's playful spirit, allowing it to constantly adapt to changing needs.

SIK54 by @io_vla Reimagines 40m² in Kypseli as a Work–Living Ecosystem Without Hierarchy

SIK54 transforms a semi-basement #apartment in Kypseli, #athens into a continuous work–living ecosystem where architecture, furniture and infrastructure merge into one adaptable framework. By embracing residual geometries, recesses and structural thicknesses, architect Ioanna Vlachaki accommodates work, living, making, storage and hospitality without assigning any permanent hierarchy.

Sliding wired-glass partitions, deep olive-green steel frames, integrated joinery and a restrained material palette preserve visual continuity, turning a compact #interior into an open-ended architecture of occupation.

⬜️ @io_vla creates flexible live-work space SPIN47 in Neos Kosmos for architect @alice.de.nardi⬜️

SPIN47 by Ioanna Vlachaki Studio in Neos Kosmos, Athens, reworks a former industrial retail space into a 100 m² live–work environment distributed across three levels. Developed in close collaboration with architect and client Alice De Nardi, the project preserves the site’s raw industrial character while introducing an ecological material strategy and a system of monolithic, movable elements. These transformable components enable fluid reconfigurations for domestic, creative, and collective uses, allowing the space to continuously adapt to changing needs.

🟡 The Architect’s Office: Ioanna Vlachaki & ATOB’s Shared Studio as a Canvas for Architecture, Design and Art 🟡

The Αrchitect’s Οffice explores the studio as both laboratory and mirror of architectural thought. The series examines how space, ritual, tools, and collaboration shape design culture. From intimate ateliers to larger practices, these workplaces reveal values and ambitions—where ideas are tested and identities take form, moving from paper and digital drawing toward the built world.

In the heart of Kypseli, @io_vla and @estate2be shape a shared workspace that reflects their collaborative ethos and layered design language. Conceived as an open canvas, the 75-square-metre studio merges architecture, object design, and art through bespoke interventions and curated works. Balancing industrial precision with tactile warmth, the space unfolds as both workplace and evolving exhibition of ideas, dialogue, and experimentation.
