I watched the film "Murder of a Cat" yesterday. I really liked it! Murder of a Cat is a dark, quirky, and suspenseful noir-tinged comedy with a zany humorous wit, likable morally ambiguous characters, and a lot of heart that brings a surprising amount of relatability.

The really good script by Christian Magalhaes & Robert Snow tells a fish out of water story about murder, connection, justice, conspiracy, maturing, and obsession with a ton of unexpected twists and turns.

Fran Kranz leads a terrific ensemble cast that includes Nikki Reed, J.K. Simmons, Blythe Danner, Greg Kinnear, and Leonardo Nam. Kranz and Reed have great chemistry with one another.

The cinematography is well done by Christophe Lanzenberg and it is accompanied by a spectacular soundtrack and score by Deborah Lurie. It's nicely edited by Eric L. Beason and it has some superb costume design and production design by Shawn Holly Cookson and Krystyna Loboda. Gillian Greene did a fantastic job directing this fun, clever, and absolutely hilarious film that I would recommend.
