Update : perspectives can be just that - only one point of view to a layered reality.. In this case, we learned the actual owner of the pups was a daughter living in a home w a family member that didn’t want the dogs in the house and often left them out when she went to work 🥺. Peter’s brother was given to someone else by the father. The actual owner is keeping two remaining pups + mama are being cared and she’s doing her best given the situation. She’s already scheduled their appointments with a local vet to get them checked out and is working on ways to keep them secure during the day.

This is a problem that is not often talked about in the community - when people share space with others that don’t want animals.

Any ideas or solutions would be appreciated - only positive - no need for negativity.

A day in the life of rescue. We need your help 🆘..

@pawheartsociety founder @tatianablades encountered 4 small dogs in the middle of the street in a North Miami neighborhood.

After some conversation, the owner agreed to surrender the pups to a local rescue 🛟. Upon networking in local animal rescue chats, she found another advocate that linked her to @themilkdrunkfoundation (which primarily specializes in neonatal) and stepped up to help as they had a foster.

When we tried to pick up the 4 only 1 was released and immediately taken to the vet to be treated for hook worms and other treatable conditions including vaccinations and a scheduled neuter appointment. His fosters are quickly falling in love with him and have affectionately named him, Peter Parker. While Peter has a foster and has gone from the streets to the sheets, his momma and 2 brothers seen in the video STILL need a safe home.

The owner has agreed to release more pups tomorrow but we need a reputable rescue and committed foster / adopter. @pawheartsociety will donate $50 per pup towards their care.

Please share, network and DM to help us save them. 🤍🤍

Ember‘s Kennel card says that he was a confiscation case. This means that he was failed by humans somewhere along the line once if not more times. These are the kinds of cases that really break my heart. This innocent dog is sitting in a shelter right now, not knowing what he did wrong. It is unfair and he did nothing wrong to deserve this. On top of everything that he is dealing with he also has heartworm. He needs to be rested until September. If you or anyone you know can help Ember please. He is located at Miami Dade Animal Services. His ID is A2764714. He has been at the shelter since of February. This is a long time for a dog that is innocent to be sitting behind bars. Please don’t forget to like share comment this reel. #ember #Confiscation #SadDog #PleaseShare #Kendall

💞 After being abandoned by his family when he was injured and waiting in a shelter kennel alone for 400+ days, sweet boy Troy has found his forever home!

Huge thanks to @ipawrescue for pulling him and finding him a loving adoptive home THE VERY SAME DAY!

The shelter’s most dignified gentleman deserves this happy ending. And so does every shelter dog and cat.

Troy found his forever because tens of thousands of you shared his reel, liked, commented, and reposted. That’s how we save lives. Together. 🙌🩷

‼️ This girl is in need of a rescue or adopter. Preferably an experienced handler who can give her time and space to decompress. She has been at the shelter in Doral and is very over stimulated. Notes of her state she has kennel reactivity and may redirect to handler. Please if you are willing to give her a chance please email adoptmiamipets@miamidade.gov with her ID A 2749408 Time is of the essence ! #Urgent #deadline #euthanasia #miamidade #Miami

This is Part 2 of Happy Birthday week to Foxy. I put my heart and soul into these videos- and although they are not technically perfect- they show what i feel for her and how she has affected me, and filled me with the nutrients to pay it forward to Sky. I know this is Skys page, but i never eant anyone to forget Foxy when i am gone. She was a part of me, and still is - and she is the ONLY reason i have sky. To reiterate, she helped me and saved my life- and the least i could do was help one of her kind.
I cried 6 + hours making this and going through her videos- which i avoid because its too painful.
But its a necessary evil (like Sky lol). 🤍
Feb 6th was hard. The 7th was hard. And coming out of the holidays with everything thats gone on recently, i can say my memories have exponentially haunted me for months. Let downs, loneliness, missing, and sheer pain. We have to move on in pain and in purpose - but nobody said it doesn't hurt.
It commonly feels there is no way out and there is no light at times- but i reach into the past, the memories, and relive them - and sometimes touch that light 🙏🤍✨. Its bitter sweet but i would rather have loved and felt, than not loved at all.
Snidbits of me speaking were taken from a podcast recording on the subject of grief.
Part 3 will be a video about bridging the gap from Foxy to Sky. And i made this one with some flashes of Sky to setup that video. @ipawrescue was crucial in pairing me with my "rescue" in all that word is in definition.
Thank you for the support, the friendship, the love, and the care. ✨🤍🙏🐾
