Intimacy Coordinator, Director, & Educator Training & Certification. SAG/AFTRA Accredited
Accessible. Community focused. Putting our humanity first.

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Officially certified as an Intimacy Director for Live Performance with Intimacy Professionals Education Collective (@ipecintimacy ), one of the only few in all of the Southwest.

When considering certification, I wanted the years of training and teaching as an Intimacy Professional to be further aligned with a group that is humanizing, inclusive, and also very detail-oriented about how and who they certify as Intimacy Professionals. Especially being one of SAG-AFTRA Affiliated programs.

After an extensive application and interview process, I am happy to say that it finally happened. I am grateful for the wonderful and intentionally put together certification panel: Raja Benz @thats.mother , D Granke, and Aimy Tien @aimytien for believing in my work.

I wanted to thank those who served as my recommendations, for their friendship, artistry, and kind words: Annika Maher @annikaskywalker97 , Maryann Green @mkfgreenagain , and Christine Arbor @creatingchristine

In this video from a conference presentation I talk about how offering choice in dance and movement classes is a trauma-informed teaching practice.

I talk about this a lot in my book, available at the 🔗 in my bio. And I’ve just recorded the curriculum videos for the Dance Educator course at @ipecintimacy and talk about this in that, too!

How does choice show up in your dance or movement class? #danceeducator #intimacydirector #traumainformedteaching #authorsofinstagram📚

It’s been one year since I started taking on intimacy professional gigs 💗 I worked on my first 13 films since college and my first 3 theatrical shows since high school! Plus the bonus of hosting my first networking event and being a panelist at the IDC intimacy professional summit. Thank you for the warm welcome back into the world of production 🎞️🎭

Hi hello welcome! My name is Margaret Gray - I’m an LA based intimacy coordinator at the beginning of my professional ~journey~ and wanted to start this page so I can share everything along the way!

I graduated from USC with a degree in Film and Television Production in 2018 and spent over six years working in talent management and scripted development. Eventually, I decided to follow my heart and returned to production so I could pursue intimacy coordinating, which is an area I am deeply passionate about and believe should (and will) be an essential role in the entertainment industry.

Currently, I am taking classes and continuing my education with the amazing folks at @ipecintimacy and I’m also working towards my associates degree in Human Movement and Applied Fitness from LACC.

I want to work in a variety of genres and mediums, but I especially love all things horror - my dream is to one day specialize in that genre to promote consensual and creative collaboration so everyone on set has a fun, sexy, and bloody time!

Please follow me as there will be lots of exciting things happening this summer! Stayed tuned for my website which should be up soon. And keep your eyes out because I’m starting a Youtube channel too 👀 more details to come! A photo of Margaret wearing a tie dye long sleeve, smiling and pushing her hair out of her face.

Come join us this weekend for our Accessibility Lab with our Director of Accessibility, Chels Morgan and CEO, Rachel Flesher. This lab is only offered April 25th of this year, and won’t circle back until 2027!!

When we were building our company & took on the value of Radical Accessibility, we knew how imperative Chels was going to be on our staff. Every policy and practice you see has Chels’s DNA. Rachel helms our company with compassion & push for us to really live in our values.

When we create spaces that care for others, we are inherently creating value on safety for ourselves, the crew, and the creative process.

🔗 in bio. See you in class.

Join me on Monday, 4/27 for a webinar with @ndeodance on Consent, Boundaries, and Needs in the dance studio!

Consent and bodily autonomy and trauma-informed work are all “hot topics” in the dance industry, from recreational studios to conservatory training, from competition stages to university pedagogy classes. This webinar addresses these relevant categories, and provides practical tools teachers can take with them, as well as outside resources, for dance educators as they create consent practices and policies in their classrooms.

I’ll also be talking about the work we do at Intimacy Direction in Dance and my book.

Image text: How do we, as dance educators, facilitate conversations around consent, boundaries, and needs in the dance studio that honor the bodily autonomy of dancers AND encourage creative risk-taking?

Join Intimacy Direction in Dance co-founder, and author of Care-full Creativity in Theatre and Dance Education: Consent-Forward, Trauma-Informed, Psychologically Safe Movement Pedagogy, Nicole Perry for practical tools and conversations around consent (which goes far beyond touch) and creativity. Nicole is an award-winning intimacy professional and choreographer, as well as a dance and movement educator, passionate about supporting other teachers as they create their own pedagogies of care. This webinar offers a practical tool to help students as discomfort v. unsafe, a template for boundary conversations, and a discussion on when an Intimacy Professional can support the creative process in a way that benefits both the dancers and the choreographer.

Photo Dump!

The first quarter of 2026 has been incredibly busy with a diversity of work. From sets to stages to studios to schools. From Key West to NYC. February I was away more than home, and March was pretty much even. I was in the Keys twice, Tampa twice, and 3 different states. Oh, and I published a whole book.

I’ve been teaching and creating movement with some wonderful colleagues and am looking forward to what the second quarter of 2026 will bring. Right now, it’s doing my taxes…
