So long, Sora. OpenAI is shutting down its AI video app. It was fun, but not very productive. And expensive to run.

For a while, that didn’t matter. Now the mood is shifting—from euphoria to discipline.

The real challenge isn’t making cool demos. It’s building products people actually use.

If AI knows too much about you, it feels invasive.
If it knows nothing, it’s just software.

Will Smith eating spaghetti somehow became a benchmark for AI progress.
The videos keep getting better—but the gains are getting smaller.

For years, AI improved by scaling: more data, more compute, more money. That strategy is hitting limits. Better visuals don’t mean better breakthroughs.

AI’s next leap won’t come from size alone. It’ll come from smarter training.

Do chatbots need therapy? As AI increasingly plays the role of therapist, researchers in Luxembourg flipped the script by asking chatbots to become the patient. The models described suffering, abuse, and emotional distress. Skeptics argue the experiment reveals less about AI psychology and more about a familiar human pattern - telling the therapist what they want to hear.
