What a great day & adventure yesterday with Dara & Tameika & meeting an amazing group of people from HOFC Pickleball Club! “Dink for Pink” raised over $20K yesterday in Canton, OH and the other group plays today!💗 Proud to share I played in 4.0+ level round robin and got a bronze! I don’t do many tournaments but I played for many friends who battled hard & several close friends who are amazing survivors & changing hearts!!!💕 Thanks to all who helped to make this event so special! #beatcancer, #dinkforpink, #pickleballwithpurpose

The Mixed Doubles 3.5 division at Big Pickl DUPR De Mayo brought enough drama, speed ups, and “OUT!” calls to qualify as a full reality TV season. 🥇 Gold: Dara Lotion & BJ Broderick These two were absolutely locked in all day. Rumor has it they communicated so well on the court they may now finish each other’s pickleball strategies AND sandwich orders. 🥈 Silver: Matt & Amy Brungard The Brungards battled through every rally like seasoned veterans who have definitely argued over whose ball it was at least once before. Tough, consistent, and nearly unstoppable. 🥉 Bronze: Chaz Alekzhandha & Jen Thomas Bronze medals secured and dignity mostly intact after surviving one of the wildest divisions of the weekend. Solid teamwork and elite level “you take it!” communication. This bracket featured hands battles at the kitchen, lobs into orbit, ATP attempts with unreasonable confidence, and at least three people questioning their cardio choices halfway through the day. Huge congratulations to all of the medalists for making the Mixed 3.5 division one of the most competitive and entertaining podiums of DUPR De Mayo! 🏆

Learning pickleball has been so much fun over the last year & I’m so thankful always to be out on the courts! I’m proud to share that my friend Dara & I teamed up & played in the Pickleball Showdown last weekend in the city! We were so happy making it to the Bronze match and although we didn’t win it was a close, we had a blast & played great competition, met new friends to play again soon, & we tackled our first tournament! 🥹I’m sure there will be more ahead! Thank you Dara for your fun, competitive spirit & sending less inspiring IG videos in the middle of night teaching me many strategies!!!🤣🤣
