Happy #tiptuesdays 👋🏼 Optimal DIGESTION plays an ESSENTIAL ROLE in your overall vitality and state of BALANCE. Keep in mind that a “PERFECT DIET” means nothing if your IG system can’t do its job. #guthealth #tuesdaythoughts . Believe me I’ve been a witness of this, since I established a better relationship with food 🍱 changed my mindset and I understood the 🧠 BRAIN-GUT connection honestly my Lupus symptoms are basically gone, thank God! and this “BRAIN IN YOUR GUT” is revolutionizing medicine’s understanding of the LINKS between DIGESTION, MOOD, HEALTH and even the way you think 💭 . An out-of-balance gut is not fun. Indigestion, gas, heartburn, bowel irregularity and the deterioration of your “gut” can be painful and sometimes life threatening. . MOST PHARMACEUTICALS work by suppressing gut function, which RESOLVES the current symptoms, BUT it won’t resolve the root of the problem. . The “GUT” responds quickly to herbal therapies and diet CHANGES that HEAL DAMAGE and RETRAIN FUNCTION. #foodforthought . So it’s TRUE: CHEW your FOOD. Putting your food into your mouth amplifies the digestive RESPONSE. Chewing and saliva start the breakdown. . This is definitely a long topic. So I’ll be sharing more about “gut health” this month. We can always enjoy our food and feel our best, it’s all about making the right choices. . I hope this info helps, share and saved this post for later ♥️ . Have an awesome Tuesday! 🍴🍴🍴 . #fuelyourbody #onemealatatime #onedayatatime #guthealthmatters . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . #minduleating #intuitiveeating #intuitiveeatingjourney #healing #health #nutrition #nutritiontips #healthylifestyle #healthyliving #healthyfood #healthyrecipes #justeatrealfood #food #foodphotography #plantbaseddiet #holistichealth #holisticwellness #holistichealing #holisticnutrition #functionalfoods

Happy thanksgiving 🇺🇸 Feeling GRATEFUL and I’m definitely blessed! Starting with some appetizers before the #thanksgiving dinner, and nothing can BEET this delicious HUMMUS! #appetizers #beets #superfood . ♥️This Beet hummus is so easy to make with chickpeas and this SUPER BEETS POWDER @livehuman ♥️ healthy, high in protein and some anti-inflammatory properties and super supportive of the heart and promotes great circulation. All you need is: 1 scoop of beet powder @livehuman 1 clove garlic crushed 1 ¾ cup chickpeas (one 15.5 oz) ¼ cup tahini ¼ cup olive oil 2 tbsps lemon juice (juice from one lemon) 1 tsp lemon zest salt and pepper . Wash your lemon, zest it, and then cut it half and juice it. One lemon should produce 2 tbsp of juice and 1 tsp of zest. Open the can of chickpeas, rinse and drain. Peel and crush garlic with a garlic press or using the back of spoon in a bowl. Save the pulp. Stir up tahini in the jar if it has separated. . Add the chickpeas, lemon juice and half of the olive oil to a food processor and blend until smooth. . Add in the beet powder, and garlic pulp and blend until smooth. Add in the zest, salt and pepper to taste. . ♥️ENJOY! Hello 👋🏼 everyone! Happy 1st day of Fall 🍂and today I have this simple and flavorful easy lunch or dinner🍽 idea- SPINACH, CHICKEN & BACON 🥓 GF NAAN BREAD PIZZA #weekdays #easyrecipes . I love to watch the TV show “Chopped” because my husband and I get so many easy ideas and we have learned how to use ALL THE AVAILABLE INGREDIENTS that we have at home when we don’t want to go grocery shopping 🛒 in the middle of the week. . #deats GF NAAN BREAD @krogerco Low fat Mozzarella cheese Chicken thighs seasoned with garlic, salt, onion powder and cayenne pepper Fresh spinach Uncured Applegate Turkey Bacon 🥓0 carbs and 2g of protein (but limit this because is definitely high in saturated fats) - Remember to balance your nutrients and calories. . On the other hand 🖐🏼 There are some foods that triggers our cravings. Next time that you go grocery shopping 🛒 think about this list: Do not keep junk food at home Keep vegetable 🥕 and fruits 🍑available Pay attention to your hunger cues Drink water 💦 because sometimes you get confused. You think you are hungry but you are actually THIRSTY. Choose your snacks wisely - more Protein & fiber (don’t overdo it either) Try always healthiest version of your favorite foods or recipes. PRACTICE MODERATION to PREVENT FEELINGS OF DEPRIVATION. Eat a small dessert if you want to or feel like it BUT always ask yourself if that is helping you to reach your health or weight goals. Only YOU have the answer and CAN make it happen! Changes are not easy it takes time, perseverance and dedication. . I hope this info helps! Have an awesome rest of your Wednesday 🙂🌸 . . #fuelyourbody #onemealatatime #onedayatatime . . . . . . . . . #mindulness #minduleating #intuitiveeating #intuitiveeatingjourney #healing #health #nutrition #nutritiontips #healthylifestyle #healthyliving #healthyfood #healthyrecipes #justeatrealfood #food #foodphotography #naanbread #easydinner #cook #macros #protein
