QOTD: What pulls you into a book? For me, I love when books describe food or drinks! I love to cook and enjoy fine dining, so reading about imaginary fantasy meals and beverages is so much fun for me since tasting and smelling is something that grounds me in the real world. If they describe something spicy or crunchy, cold or creamy, it connects with me and makes it a more realistic and enjoyable read! #iriseditionsco #qotd #bookbox #treatyoshelf #booktok #brandrelaunch

Is there a series that you just keep coming back to? And each reread, you find new things to love? For us, that's the Fever series by @karenmariemoningofficial! I can't remember the first time I read this series... and I also can't remember how many times I've now read it 😂 Jericho Barrons is the ultimate Book Boyfriend (iykyk) - and Dani, Dancer, Ryo, Christian and the rest of the gang are just *chef's kiss* We were thrilled to team up with Karen when Penguin rereleased the series in paperback, designing these beautiful ombre edges to compliment the new covers. I guess you can say we were moving into our Iris rainbow era without even realizing it 😂 If you want an un-put-downable urban fantasy series with a strong female character and an epic tale of fae, beasts, love and loss - we still have some in stock! #iriseditionsco #urbanfantasy #feverseries #sprayededges #rainbow #mackaylalane #jerichobarrons #barronsbooksandbaubles #dublin

Welcome to our Instagram! We are so thrilled to bring special editions and beautiful merchandise to you. Who is Iris? When you think of Greek mythology and messages - we bet Hermes is who comes to mind. But did you know Hera had her own courier service? Meet Iris! Iris was the goddess of the rainbow and left flowers where she walked - hence, the iris being named after her! We thought her colorful vibes and love of sharing the tea was perfect for our company and aesthetic. After 6 years in business under The Librarian Box, we felt it was time for a refresh and a brand that could allow us to continue to grow beyond book boxes into apparel, events, and more! If you are familiar with us from TLB, thank you for coming along in this new chapter <3 If you are new - welcome!! We hope you will enjoy our little corner of craziness 😂 #iriseditionsco #treatyoshelf #rebrand #rainbow #specialeditionbooks #bookish #bookbox

Ya'll, being a graphic designer (which requires quite a lot of attention to detail) with two toddlers is NOT for the weak 😂 The version of this we posted yesterday had the characters in a funky alignment, so we had to do a dirty delete so people didn't think we were new when it came to dust jackets and burn us at the stake 😂 Here is the CORRECT mockup - now excuse me while I go bury my head in shame (but at least I didn't leave an entire block of lorem ipsum on a CD booklet iykyk)

What makes a book memorable for you? . I finally read Glave Flowers, and I absolutely loved it! I would've posted about it last week, but I was out of town and needed to take a photo so y'all could see how pretty the @thelibrarianbox edition is! My inner Tudor nerd absolutely loved this book, and I'm counting down the days until I can read Autumn's next release, The God's Will Sing Our Song! . ✨Take a walk down memory lane!✨ . . ✨These were the past Literary Tickets! To give you an idea of what is coming up with future tickets, check out all these amazing styles! Thank you to my amazing designer Traci from The Librarian Box! . . ✨Swirled, textured, and special effect acrylics, multi colored screen printing, metallic elements and engraving! . . ✨ Fun fact about the last ticket in the video: Bring me your Midnight did have a spelling error 🤦🏻‍♀️ BUT it was printed on GLOW IN THE DARK acrylic for a magical surprise! I was blown away by how cool it would change color depending on the lighting. . . ✨The upcoming Divine Rivals and Wild Reverence tickets will be printed on the same acrylic as A River Enchanted ticket was! Just in different colors! So in a way it would look like a themed set! . . #bookstagram #rebeccaross #literarytickets #embossandspine #booklover

You may have already seen Katabasis in my yearly favourites recap but it deserved a post of its own. Katabasis is a book I will indeed think about for a long time. I understand why people may find it pretentious. Brimmed with academia and literary references, it can read clunky at times. Yet, it was reminiscent of my physics degree, an intense and feverish period of my life, that I couldn’t help but embrace the challenges and commentary of our two protagonists. Also, I simply love a magical realism journey. Whether it is Piranesi or The Road, I love a story where the journey itself is its own character, and the evolution of self progresses with each physical step taken. I love being perplexed and forced into creativity, having to build a paradoxical world in my head from the ground up. Finally, I just simply love R.F Kuang’s writing.
