Thanks a thousand to all our students at the Fingal Creative Arts Academy.

Elaine Murphy and I have loved welcoming people into the room, watching confidence grow, sharing stories, learning from one another and, of course, having a bit of craic along the way.

We’re coming towards the final few classes of this block, and we’re so grateful to everyone who took a chance, came along and helped us build something special here in Swords.

Here are our remaining classes:

✍️ Find Your Writing Voice with Elaine Murphy

🎭 Acting with David Gilna

Elaine Murphy is back!

Following the brilliant response to our launch, Elaine returns to the Fingal Creative Arts Academy on Monday 5th October for another writing class.

This one is all about finding your writing voice with one of the best.

We’re genuinely loving the community we’re building here in Swords. People taking a chance, sharing ideas, finding their voice and having a bit of craic along the way.

We’re only getting started.

Any questions, just ask.

Onwards.

🎭 What a night 🎭

Our first night at the Fingal Creative Arts Academy is done.

Elaine and I opened the doors, welcomed a brilliant group of students, and by the end of the evening it felt like we were already starting to build something special.

Everyone came away with something and that’s what it’s all about.

Trying something new.
Sharing stories.
Learning from each other.
Having a laugh.

And most importantly, building a community.

A massive thanks a thousand to everyone who took that leap and joined us last night.

We’re only getting started.

See you next Monday at 8pm for more acting.

If you’d like to join us, or you’re curious about what we’re building, drop us a DM.

Swords, we’ve started something.

Well, the sign is officially up.

We’re saying goodbye to Number 1.

To us, it’s never just been a house. It’s been a family home. A place that welcomed sons, daughters, nephews, nieces, grandparents, family and friends from near and far.

For generations, the door was always open. There was always a cup of tea, a story to be told, and room for one more around the table.

We’ve celebrated milestones, shared laughter, shed tears, and created memories that will stay with us forever.

This house has been blessed with love, friendship and community, surrounded by wonderful neighbours and with The Jacko on your doorstep.

As we turn the page to a new chapter, we wish the next owners every happiness and the opportunity to create a lifetime of memories of their own.

Thank you, Number 1, for all the magic.

For enquiries, contact David R. Blanc at Sherry FitzGerald Swords. @sherry_fitz

Onwards to the next chapter.

From the eyes of a storyteller.

"Republic Day"
.
.
.
.

Yesterday was Republic Day & I had the privilege to capture some of the moments throughout the commemoration, some snippets of which are in this post, with more to follow soon!

On this very day 110 years ago, the Proclamation of Independence was read out by Pádraig Mac Piarais at the GPO on O'Connell Street in the heart of Dubin City.

The Tri-Colour Flag for which this Proclamation stands for was raised to blow freely in the skies of Dublin.

Never forget the sacrifices made for our freedom!
