One thing about my girls is there is nothing we can’t talk about. We often hit business, career, family, culture, politics and more. So when after a business convo as a few of us lingered and chatted about our changing bodies, relationships, and intimacy, I thought — y’all down to have a night out to talk ALL the things and even bring some “props” to discuss. Them…basically…”Say less!”

I really wanted a fried fish, mac & cheese type of situation for the menu — just real basic but our girl @xo.stephaniejoyner doesn’t have “basic” in her vocabulary! 😊 Whenever she invites the girls over or hosts, you can guarantee it’s all in the details. My lil fried fish thought went to a sultry burgundy and ivory backdrop complete with draping, custom slippers for all the ladies, a menu that was have mercy amazing, and more details that just blow your mind including custom take home bags with our ribboned names that were labeled “for the car ride home”.

Oh and the convo and demos — lol….a good time was had past midnight. I’ll have to share more of the details up close of what Stephanie did for us. I mean like wow! And @ninjakitchen y’all need to just partner with Steph because when she pulls out the Ninja Slushy machine even with mocktails, a time is always had!

I’ll say it once and I’ll say it again…I may lack some things in life but love is not one of them. Because my circles don’t just run wide, they run deep. And I love communities and tables where you get to unapologetically bring your whole self — with questions, curiosity, faith, inspiration and just plain authenticity.

The many eras of womanhood 💗✨

Turning 40 has me reflecting on all the versions of myself I’ve had the privilege of becoming. 🤎

A bride. A mother. A business owner. A woman who has evolved, pivoted, grown, and learned to celebrate herself just as much as she celebrates everyone else.

The last few years have given me so much to be grateful for, and I’m walking into this next era with more confidence, intention, and appreciation for the journey.

Cheers to 40, to becoming, and to whatever era is next. 👀

Kanye said it…I’m on a “living spree”. Let me tell you to love and be loved in return is the wealthiest of things I can experience in my life. Do I want…heck need more money? Sure. Do I want more things? Sure.

But amazing friendships that blow my heart away…I don’t lack…and this is not all of them. I am truly wealthy, my heart overflows in what I receive from the circles of my life. If I know you, then my network is going to know you. And we all share like that.

Big thanks to The Joyners for allowing all of us to become “family” with you and yours yesterday. @xo.stephaniejoyner + corey - the way you love one another and how that love flows so freely and generously to your family and friends is a feeling that I wish every person could experience. No detail spared…nada. All we had to really do is show up and be ready to be loved…and fed well. ☺️

That’s what my friend circles look like. Most of these women started out as business clients and/or peers and became friends who check up on you, hold your hand during the hard times while also holding your feet to the fire when you’re slacking. That is friendship for me and I love it here.

Cookouts like this in community seem few and far between these days so cheers to that 80s, 90s kinda get together in the backyard to laugh. I think the only thing missing was a hand of Spades and somebody’s uncle cuttin’ up. Well maybe…nothing was missing after all. ☺️

Is it Friday yet? Because whew! These past weeks and weekend have been kicking my butt.

But….speaking of…..there’s something about a beautiful drink that makes an ordinary or even a tough day feel a little more special.

Give me a mocktail, a cute glass, and a thoughtful garnish, and I’m a happy woman.

And a refrigerator stocked like the Fever Tree distributor knows my name. Honey! (See last slide for evidence.)

Now don’t get me wrong. Every now and then I enjoy a good cocktail. But when it comes to pure taste, my go-to is almost always a mocktail. The flavors, the presentation, the vibe… all of it.

Tiny luxuries. Big happiness.

Now tell me: What’s your go-to cocktail, mocktail, or wine when you need to unwind—or when you just want to add a little extra something to an ordinary day?

Because a girl is always looking for new ideas. 😉

When you say culinary artist, put your whole heart into how you show up, grace, and an iconic woman who gives it to you in a Diahann Carroll reminiscent way — the only face that pops to mind is Renee @mrs_s_renee x @eatkindlecuisine.

So beautiful celebrating you which it almost feels like you did more of celebrating the people in your life. Thank you for being you and allowing me into your spaces to witness your grace, elegance, business savvy, love, and style.

The women in this picture are just a small collective of those who hold me down — who help to call the greatness out of me and who I can have a conversation about ANYTHING without judgment…lots of good questions but also heaps of authentic love that is always felt.
