I can’t believe it’s here. Our new album is finally out! Fun story, last fall I was playing with some word dice and I pulled the phrase “A New Start Later.” I thought it was fire so I took a picture, then forgot about it. I came back to it eventually and decided to build a song around it and now it’s the title of our album. Crazy world! We’ve built this album over the course of a year. I wrote Cowboys 12 months ago. It’s wild how much has happened. So, here’s a little trip down memory lane: some behind the scenes photos from back when we were scrambling to get everything done. Sebastian and I wrote, recorded, and produced the album ourselves, and it’s a very special accomplishment, but we couldn’t have done it alone. I want to thank every musician who appears on the album: @griffin.the.cellist @greyson.geisness @abbysellis07 @irisviolin elizaprymakmusic @mila.mincy @cellowithspice @drewdiamondmusic @tristaschepp A very special thanks to @benjamins_sketchbook who created all the illustrations for the project. We’ve still got a few beauties to show you soon. This dude is a masterful artist. And to everyone who has performed these songs with us, especially @imogenestevens.music and @dustboxband ,It was a joy playing with you. I also want to extend some admiration to @joshuadavismusic and @greatblakestate who had the necessary wisdom and patience to mentor us through the writing process. I’m sorry I never listened to your advice, Josh, but hopefully the album proves that it all worked out. Either way, your council is invaluable, and I miss our lessons often. Finally, thank YOU for supporting us, coming to our concerts, streaming our music, and peeping the releases. Your feedback is so exciting to see, and I hope you all enjoy the album. Happy Trails, John and Sebastian PS: If you read the whole caption, you’re a true cowboy. Comment your favorite track from the new record. PPS: If you want to join the Sebastian Dalisay-Hockett VIP fan club, DM us your favorite quote from track 04: “Maybe Next Year…”
