People of The Table.

Every seat at The Table brings a different story, perspective, and journey.

One of the most rewarding parts of this evening was seeing founders, designers, executives, media leaders, and creatives from completely different industries share ideas, build relationships, and create new opportunities together.

Thank you to these incredible people who made this edition of The Table Founder Series so special.

See you at the next Table. Images by @myceliumartcreations @_ts.visionz 🌹

Last week, we celebrated a truly special woman.

Happy Birthday, Irka @irkadesign 💛

Your presence in the Host Committee means so much to us, not only for your talent and creativity, but for your loyalty, your belief in this mission, and the heart you bring to everything you do.

You’ve been part of this journey in ways that go far beyond one night, and we are endlessly grateful that you continue to stand with Maya’s Hope.

Here’s to you, and to a beautiful year ahead.

Among the highlights of the night was a beloved Maya’s Hope tradition:

the wine bottle challenge. (donated by Jason Birchard, owner of Veselka)

At the lowest appeal level, the last person to raise their hand and donate wins a bottle of wine.

This year, Irka Tkachenko and Amy Laurent took it to another level, raising their hands again and again, each determined to outlast the other.

Their friendly rivalry ended in a beautifully generous gift to the children we serve.

A little competition.

A lot of heart.

And one very lucky bottle.

Welcome, Irka Tkachenko, our Host Committee member for the Maya's Hope Lotus Ball 2025!

From greeting cards sold outside St. George Ukrainian Catholic Church to the chandeliers of Maya's Hope Lotus Ball, Irka has been part of Maya’s Hope since the very beginning.

For more than a decade, she’s rallied support for children in Ukraine, carried forward the mission of Sister Bernarda, and given her talent and heart to our cause.

Beyond Maya’s Hope, @irkadesign is a Ukrainian-American designer whose jewelry line Irka Design has graced NYFW, Paris Fashion Runway, and the pages of Vogue, NY Times Style, and more.

Her belief? Do what you love, and help others along the way. A truth she lives every day as part of our Lotus Ball family.
