Finn is not thrilled with the new remote-controlled Snoopy. Sorry, buddy.

Here at That Dame Who Crafts, I make at least one new seasonal decoration every year for Casa Hedriquez for Halloween and for Christmas, often aided by @irkypants. Presenting the 2026 Halloween decoration, our swing ghost. This was a viral decoration going around the clock app in August and early September. We could buy it ready-made, but, you know. Swing built by Eric out of supplies already in the house. Light string from our stash. Ghost, vines, and zip ties from, you guessed it, Dollar Tree.

Well, it's almost ready, but here is my calendar for my crafting events this holiday season so far! And it doesn't even include a couple other scheduled performances, but who's counting? 😆🎄🎁 Come visit me and get your shop on!

What you are seeing here is @irkypants 's first time ever making my favorite dish of all time, aji de gallina, as a birthday treat for me. This is the dish by which I will coldly, impassively judge any Peruvian restaurant. As a bonus, he also made me papa a la huancaína, the smaller plate. I am overwhelmed with the loving gesture and the amount of effort and research this took. Thank you, my wonderful Eric. ¡Viva el Perú, carajo!

Took Finn to @loweshomeimprovement where he proved once and for all that he is our dog. Also, our maxim that Finn will try to get love from anyone with hands came true in ways we did not foresee!

I apologize for the Seasick Cam, but if you ever wanted to see Finn in the minute before we pull up to the dog park, here you go.

On this, the day of Lindsay Graham's remarkable departure, what is more appropriate than for me to post, heinously late, the pictures of me, @irkypants, and Finn marching in the 2026 SF Pride Parade with @everyonelovesacorgi? It was fabulous weather, the City was celebrating, and we could set aside thoughts of the Empire amid all the cheering and bubbles and color and joy. I will never stop saying it: creativity and joy are resistance.

(Note: the signs on Finn's chariot read "Protect the Dolls." Originally they were signs about Agent Orange, but he didn't deserve the visibility.)

I have been given to understand that today is International Corgi Day. Whatever. We don't care about that. Anyway, here's Finn helping Human Daddy pick out the tomato plants for Hedriquez Farms 2026.

Our beloved boy is 6! (It was actually May 21 - we hope he forgives us for the lateness.) We bought him a festive doggy cookie, which he greatly enjoyed. Scroll through for video of the birthday boy devouring his treat. Finn, our beloved floof beast, you make so many people so very happy. Happy birthday, bebino lindo!
