One year ago, we broke ground on our magic place, LLS pré school. Today, I’m overflowing with gratitude for the incredible crew from Rockhill, Emerson without whom the panels would not stand straight, our brilliant architects Chris McVoy and Beth O’Neill, and the wonderful Ken, our project manager. A special shoutout to Olivia, whose mural brings our walls to life! This year has been a whirlwind of intensity and joy, and it’s incredible to stand here today, knowing we’ve succeeded. This place is now filled with light, children’s voices, and dreams made visible. It’s more than a school, it’s our community, a testament to the power of believing in something before it exists. And the best part? We’re just getting started.

I’m also deeply grateful to Violaine Huisman for her magic, to our LLS TEAM.

From our special evening GEMS | the first dinner event at the gallery with @christianebussgen 🤍

Thank you for all those who shared this moment with us. Special thanks to our neighbors @hudsonwilder for the glassware, @ostudiobk for the plates and @bossafurniture for the silver oyster trays. Styled with lamps by @sowden.it and ceramics by @fena.studio, our table was exquisite. More to come in the new year 🎯

Piazza San Marco Venice & Basilica St. Peter’s Rome: 2 of the world’s greatest urban spaces. San Marco’s L-shape space with short end making a portal to the lagoon, Sansovino’s Z-facade turning the corners, the staccato Procuratie Vecchie forming the wall of a giant room rather than a building, the massive tower slipped free of the piazza’s inside corner, Basilica San Marco pushing out the east end with its molten gold interior, the Palazzo Ducale defying gravity with heavy mass over filigree fabric, the absence of cars and landscape creating a stage for people and shadows.

Basilica St Peter’s so massive that it’s interior is an urban space rather than a building interior.
