10 months ago, I started my triathlon journey with one big goal in mind: to cross the finish line of an IRONMAN 70.3.

For 10 months, that goal was always in the back of my mind. Every early morning, every hard session, every sacrifice, and every time I pushed myself beyond what I thought I could do was leading up to this one day.

My goal was to finish in 5 hours 20 minutes. But sometimes, race day has a different plan. Just one week before the race, I injured my Achilles tendon. I tried everything I could to manage the injury because I had worked too hard for too long to give up on the goal I had been chasing for months.
Then came race day…
An extremely hot course, an Achilles injury that followed me through the race, and a steep bike course where I lost all my nutrition around kilometer 40. I had to finish the bike on nothing but water and electrolytes. By kilometer 14 of the run, I was vomiting, exhausted, and far from the race I had imagined.
My target time slowly slipped away, and I crossed the finish line in 5:54. Not the time I trained for. Not the race I planned. But a finish line I will always be proud of.

Because sometimes, the biggest achievement isn’t hitting your target. It’s refusing to give up when everything seems to be going against you. It’s showing up when your body hurts, when your plans fall apart, and when the only thing left to rely on is your determination to keep moving forward.

10 months ago, I was someone who wanted to become a triathlete. Today, I can proudly say that I completed an IRONMAN 70.3. And the experience taught me far more than a finishing time ever could.

Thank you @rehabhamdy98 ,my coach, for your guidance, your belief in me, and for being part of this journey from day one.

And to my friends and family, Thank you for every word of encouragement, every bit of support, Having you behind me meant more than you know.

One down. Many more to come 🤞🏻

Ironman 70.3 Dhofar 2026.
A course PB, 1st place in my age group and 4th place overall. Also, a qualification to the 2027 Ironman 70.3 World Championship in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
A race I always want to come back to. Brutal, honest, it forces you to be strategic, patient and put your ego aside.

Last year I had a clear goal to step on the podium, and was one step away.
This year- a spontaneous decision to go for it out of love for the sport, the people I do it with, and curiosity where the fitness built for a 70.3 World Championship will carry me.

There was a feeling that everything was clicking in the days leading up to the race, I trusted my body and just observed the games my mind tried to play on me- the usual.

A reminder to me that even though our wins (and losses) do not define who we are, if we truly know it… They are still a big part of us being human. So we take it all in!
This means a lot to me- a reflection of all the energy, attention and love I put into this sport. And it gives me back.

I realized that time was never important, sometimes you work hard for 10 months and you get humbled when it matters most. I faced all my demons, I prayed and I wanted to quit 1000 times, but I made this spiritual and decided that quitting was going to pave my present.

Swim - 34 min
T1 - 2:33
Bike - 2:35:00
T2 - 2:39
Run - 2:56:00

Yeah I walked, I prayed and I counted every step
