Thank you to @heatherstokesphotography for these pictures from @spokanerenaissancefaire 💙

The faire season is over and while I’m looking forward to having more weekends free, I’m already dreaming up plans for next season ⚔️

Fighting @ironbear414 at @canterburyrenaissancefaire 2026

I will always love fighting against that enormous axe. My armor has seen better days because of it though

When he was one, fist bumps started as a way to help him calm down after the tournament. Meeting the knights up close helped him see that they weren't hurt, and they weren't scary.

Four years later, it's become one of our favorite Renfaire traditions. Win or lose, every tournament ends with fist bumps, horse pets, and a chance to say hello to friends.

He insists on fist bumps for every Knight, Dame, and Yeoman from every faction. If we miss someone at the morning tournament, we start the afternoon round with them, or try to find them around the Faire later on.

The Knights are part of our faire family. And in this family, nobody gets left behind or forgotten. ❤️

I fought @ironswallowtail for the ground champion title and claimed it for house GeLeah

Additional credit goes to @dame_cecily for softening him up for me

And though he be but little, he is fierce!

With a nod to Master Shakespeare, I think this every time my 4-year-old picks up a sword, especially at the Renfaire. Such a good idea by @folklorewoodcraft to have a dummy set up at his booth to try out the beautiful wooden swords on. My kiddo insisted on going for the head 🤣

And yes, he is always 10x more fierce after watching his heros @theseattleknights on the combat field.

First time ever seeing a #joust! Thank you @theseattleknights and @canterburyrenaissancefaire for the experience!

I've never shot a joust before, so I have a few posts coming since I shot a lot since I wasn't sure what to expect. Hopefully you all like them!
