i will miss the lady of the underground 💐

Persephone the most special role I’ve played. I’ve adored this show for 5 years and to play one of my dream roles has been a beautiful opportunity. I’m honored that this was my last youth show and that I got to spend it with the best people! Perfect show to end IRYT with. It became my home just 3 years ago during a time when I didn’t have much of a place in theater. Without this company, I’d never be allowed to become the performer I am today. It’s also let me perform with my brother 🗿 and watch him grow into who I’m proud of. Thank you to Rad and Janine (and Lily!) for shaping this show wonderfully and especially to Brian for being just as much and more of a nerd abt this show than me and treating it with the care it needs, to Spencer for always encouraging me and being completely honest, to Tommy for being the best scene partner, to Aniya for the unending support making us the best team we could, always helping each other with both tracks, keeping me calm when I got frazzled, and sewing my dress flowers(!), and to everyone who saw the show and gave such overwhelming love (especially the ones who stayed through the 5948923 closing night speeches)! It truly means the world that you took the time to come, and so sorry if I didn’t get a pic with u but I appreciate you the same. ❤️❤️ Ignore my voice during We Raise Our Cups I was sobbing I do better I promise. The story of this show and company may have ended but it doesn’t mean we won’t sing it again and again 🥀

No words could possibly encapsulate my feelings for this cast, crew, and show but here goes my best shot. I am so incredibly grateful for my time spent with all of those involved in this production. Never have I been shown so much kindness and love or felt so welcomed. I was trusted and given the opportunity of a lifetime and I will treasure it forever on. Even though my time with IRYT has been brief I now have so many new members of my family and a tight knit community who pushes each other up despite the negativity in the world. Thank you so much to everyone who has supported and believed in me. And remember even though it can be a sad song we always sing it again anyway.
I love all of you so so much and once again thank you!!!!!!!

This past weekend I was in Hadestown Teen for my 2nd time. This time around was with @irytheatre and I was a fate. I have always wanted to be a villain, and I had so much fun on stage being a mischievous villain, spreading doubt and causing chaos

i feel like theres so much i want to say, but i can’t find the words to articulate exactly how im feeling right now. it’s so bittersweet, watching this show come together these last four months for it all to come down to a couple days… i just cant express how eternally grateful i am to the cast, crew, and board. thank you to brian, rad, and janine for trusting me with eurydice and always cheering me on. the care you all have put into your craft has left a heavy impact on all of us. thank you to the tech crew for making this beautiful show possible, we couldn’t have done it without you guys. thank you to the wonderful cast, i sincerely hope you all pursue your dreams and continue to reach for the stars. each and every one of you is so special. you will always be family to me. thank you to eurydice. thank you for being exactly what i needed. thank you for being strong and daring. thank you for letting me be apart of your story. and lastly, thank you iryt. you all have showed me a level of love and generosity that only the luckiest people get the privilege to experience. i will never forget this. thank you all for giving me the opportunity to join you in singing it again.

OPENING TONIGHT!

From May 2nd to 4th, Inland Regional Youth Theatre (IRYT) opened their final production — Hadestown Teen Edition — at The Box theatre in Riverside. With two alternating casts and a talented ensemble of young performers, the show brought the ancient myth of Orpheus and Eurydice roaring to life one last time. In this review, we spotlight the Down Below cast, whose powerful performances made this bittersweet farewell both triumphant and unforgettable.

Our girl, @cig_vielmann is participating in her second stage production with @irytheatre. This time around, she takes on the role of Hermes, the messenger and narrator in this crazy amazing fantastical musical journey.

After 12 years, @irytheatre is making their final curtain call when this production weekend closes. And they close it out at a stage that has come to represent home, @theboxriverside

And what a way to go! #hadestown #teenedition - their final tech week, coming to a close. The last time this cast will perform together as some look to move on in location, in life, into their future.

Two Casts:
Up Above - performing Friday evening (11 tickets remaining as of Wednesday night) and Saturday matinee (68 tickets remaining as of Wednesday night)

Down Below - performing Saturday evening (sold out) and Sunday matinee.

Before she leaves the stages of the Inland Empire, and goes on to grace the stages of #Pepperdine and beyond, come celebrate her and her cast mates with us!

ALRIGHTY FOLKS!!! SHE HAS A LEAD ROLL!!!
Cigourney will be Hermes, the Narrator, for Hadestown! Her lead performance will be the FRIDAY (5/2) 7PM show and the SATURDAY(5/3) MATINEE!!

She will be in the other two performances as ensemble. Our family has bought tickets for the Friday Evening and Sunday Matinee shows.

She is super excited for this opportunity to be a lead in the all teen cast. Let us know what showing you are attending and we'll make sure Cigourney knows you are there.
