Welcome another new coach to TumbleTek—-ISSAC ALLRED!

Hi, I’m Isaac Allred! I’m an experienced coach with an elite background in tumbling, acrobatics, hand balancing, flexibility, and cheerleading. I’ve dedicated years to mastering body control, strength, technique, and athletic performance, and I’m passionate about helping others do the same.
Whether you’re a complete beginner or an advanced athlete, I love working with all skill levels. My goal is not only to help each athlete improve their abilities but also to build genuine connections, create a positive learning environment, and help every individual gain confidence in themselves. I believe that with consistent effort, encouragement, and proper coaching, everyone has the potential to achieve more than they thought possible.

Most helicopter cartwheel tutorials miss this crucial step.

The gymnastic front walkover is often taught as a prerequisite for the helicopter cartwheel and while it can help, it actually requires far more back and hip flexibility than landing a helicopter.

Unless you’re a very flexible dancer or gymnast, most people don’t have that level of extension.

The helicopter cartwheel comes from Capoeira, where the movement is more off-axis slightly sideways over the body instead of straight over the top.

That’s where the Reversao comes in.

The Reversao is essentially an off-axis front walkover.
It requires less overall back flexibility and teaches the most important part of the helicopter:

👉 how to land cleanly on one leg and stand up

This is where most people struggle.

They treat the helicopter like a regular cartwheel switching legs, then collapse into a squat on the landing.

If you want to learn the helicopter correctly, focus on:

✔️ A clean Reversao
✔️ Strong single-leg landing
✔️ Standing up out of the movement

If you want more guidance on developing your helicopter cartwheel, comment MOVE and we’ll reach out about our online Movement Game coaching program, where the helicopter is part of the curriculum.
