Well you guys..If you know me you know I'm not impressed by celebrities or name dropping. I find it abhorrent actually.& if you know me you know how much, or atleast know about- how much Modest Mouse means to me... I'm very much a Sad Sappy Sucker. This show was different. Lastyear after a life long fan, I saw them for the first time & their setlist was so perfectly synchronistic, & divinely aligned with my heart & exactly what I wanted, my company+the time, was one of & still is one of the greatest times of my life.I even got isaac's pic! I've been taking the chance in life lately, remembering how short it is,to get& do what I want. To "manifest my reality".create the life that is most cherished + fufilling.. This year it was an even further drive, the night before my Grandad's heart surgery,&expensive as heck.I did it anyways.I ended up going alone.A bit nervous, I did it anyways<3 & boy... was I magnificently ossified that that's exactly the point of life..The setlist was new &exciting.I went into it completely fufilled from last year, so totally open minded.Already listening to alot of experimental music, I was elated to hear them creating unique avant-garde noise but also true JAMS!!Also, to see Isaac enjoying himself & being utterly immersed in his new material. This newest album I actually listened to, didn't hate.& appreciated alot of. The songs that I most lovedfrom it, I was gifted with Isaac playing with such heart. The strength it takes to be so relevant years later, expected to sound a certain way, to have your last album brutalized by all who love you ,but decide to do things for yourself anyways, try on new things while managing to so eloquently stay true to your own developed sound but in a fresh way takes balls & Isaac has them & my respect goes out to him whole heartedly for that. All that being said.. I ended up meeting this fucker!Ended up being speechless. After years of longing to tell him such specific things, not realizing at the time I was in shock. So silly. The man who created and has narrated the sound of my life and heart musically and lyrically. Thankyou for being here Isaac. Always.

@modestmouse is a Texas band in spirit, and they rocked this state like no other! From some special performances of all time favorites in parking lots to stages in air conditioned mega theaters, every song performed was special and unique. But what made this even more incredible were the friends I went with and made along the way. Special special special shout outs to my travel buddies, @rowancorancejuice & @chelle.aerial, @insight.photos & @samwommack.img for taking show pics of the Austin and San Antonio shows respectively for use on the podcast, everyone who did an interview with me during the concerts (send me a DM if you'd like to talk about your experiences further!) and of course, everyone involved in the Modest Mouse concert experiences- band and crew alike. Y'all are the best. See you next tour!
