One of the most impactful weeks of my life; took me this long to even share anything because I’m still processing it all. I flew down a couple days late to join a team of amazing people to serve alongside the Dream Center and give ourselves fully to serve a community that’s been affected by the recent fires; the things we saw and the stories they could tell would be enough to keep us there for weeks after, and I’m sure most of us would have stuck around if life back home didn’t need us. I’m grateful for the opportunity, because this place has been a part of my life since I was barely able to speak; to be back here at the same age my parents were when they wanted their kids to experience outreach and ministry and have it engrained into our hearts was a full circle moment and I will cherish these memories forever. I’m also glad I got to meet more faces of our church, know that you all instantly became family to me and I will always appreciate you and your yes; we got to give communities hope and healing in a practical way, and I’m believing those folks won’t forget it.

There are no words that can live up to the experiences my fellow brothers, sisters, pastors, and I experienced this week. God moved in ways we could have never expected or truly prepared for. Our Lord opened our eyes to see and our ears to hear as we left our personal lives at His feet to serve communities in need.

The Word tells us to serve not for our own benefit but for the benefit of the Kingdom of God and His children. I cannot express how honored I am to have served with 30 of His children who live their lives with this purpose in mind.

As our world continues to change in many ways, it is crucial that we remember the two most important commandments of our Lord. First, love our Lord above all else. Second, love your neighbor like yourself.

I pray and beg our Lord to soften our hearts so that we can all seek to be in service of those that are the lowest of us all. Greatness is not measured by objects of this world but in the ability and desire to be a servant in the name of our Lord.

Our Lord blessed us with free will, let’s all choose to use it to serve Him and help those of the flock that are struggling the most. I love you all, and so does our Lord!
