If I had a quarter for every time I’ve seen Noah and lost all of the videos I took, I’d have two quarters, which isn’t a lot but it’s crazy that it’s happened twice.

Maybe it’s just me, but my AI seems to think I’m only interested in articles about Ellen DeGeneres—and lately, it feels like so many of them are negative. I don’t know what happened behind the scenes at The Ellen Show, and honestly, it’s not my business. What I do know is this: both Ellen and Oprah have inspired me to be my best self and to give generously, regardless of the differences in our circumstances.

I had the pleasure of attending one of Ellen’s final shows, and I’ll always be grateful for that experience. That show was a turning point for me—it inspired me to start giving back in tangible ways: handing out sleeping bags to people experiencing homelessness, raising funds to help single moms go back to school, and giving out coats in the winter.

One moment that has stayed with me is from the show: a grandmother raising her special-needs grandchildren in Los Angeles was worried her old, unreliable vehicle wouldn’t get them to medical appointments. Ellen surprised her with a wheelchair-accessible van. You could see the impact on the woman’s face—and when they cut to the commercial, I could see her saying to Ellen, “You changed my life forever.” In that moment, I thought, I want to be able to do that for someone, too.

So, whether you love Ellen or not, I personally believe she did incredible things with her platform. Until I see evidence otherwise, I consider Ellen a good person, and I am grateful for the influence her show has had on my life and the person I’ve become.

Also—a fun personal note: Ellen is actually my middle name! The attached photo is of me and my niece Isabel on the set. I’m pretending to interview her (she’s an actress!) while sitting in Ellen’s chair, and yes—that’s an Ellen sweater I’m wearing with a photo of her dog!

I've avoided posting about graduating from Company because I don't want to admit it's really over. Peep the tear on the first slide (I was using every bit of energy in my body to hold it together)

This school has changed me fundamentally, and I couldn't be more at a loss for words. I'm so grateful to this institution, the generous and genius teachers and staff, and the truly beautiful young talents I was lucky enough to call my classmates, and am even luckier now to call my friends and peers in this industry. I wish I could do it over and over and over again.

I have a newfound appreciation for this craft, and I feel so prepared and excited to throw myself into this industry.

Waited forever to post this because I didn’t want to acknowledge the end. My three years at AADA were nothing short of transformative. And wow working with this company in the final year is an experience I am going to carry with me for the rest of my life. I’m so proud.
