We did it! @jahnnabeecham and I wrote a play. “The Best Halloween Ever” had its world premiere this past weekend, and it truly was the best, with all the tricks, treats, and heart of Barbara Robinson’s wonderful book. Thank you to @dimitritoscas and the amazing cast for knocking it out of the park! And thank you to @concordshows and @orlandofamilystage for making this all possible, and to Barbara Robinson’s family for trusting us to adapt her hilarious and heart warming words.

Having the playwrights, Barbara Robinson‘s family, and @concordshows with us on opening weekend was a thrill. This supportive team made THE BEST HALLOWEEN EVER a delightful experience I will not soon forget! Also… I love this picture of my cast. It makes me happy. 😊 They’re a TERRIFIC group of talented humans. Thank you for everything you offered to this project. I adore you all. 🥰

Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate what I can easily deem as one of the best birthdays ever!! I am so grateful and so lucky to say that I have the greatest friends on the planet and even better the greatest girlfriend on the planet!! That’s the kind of luck some people don’t see in a lifetime and I will never take that for granted. Thank you also to anyone who reached out with love and congratulations, all the love I felt yesterday was extremely overwhelming in the absolute best way!! A special thank you to @isabelb143 the “greatest girlfriend on the planet” I mentioned earlier who woke up early to bake the finest cake that my taste buds have ever had the pleasure of experiencing, and the cheesiest, most delicious Mac n cheese my mouth has ever laid siege to. @chejoserivera my BOY who is always willing to capture the best moments in life through a lens. Thank you @cherrynotjerry for being there early and helping me decorate. @zay_loves_life thank you for setting up the projector and projection screen before I even got there, I couldn’t of imagined setting that thing up without you. Thank you to anyone that got me a gift, that was not a requirement but it is HEAVILY appreciated nonetheless. And lastly thank you @therentheatre for letting me celebrate in the space. Thank you to everyone again for making me feel like the most special person ever! I love you all! Also if you have any pics and or videos of last night PLSSS send them to me!

Today • the FIRST public performance of THE BEST HALLOWEEN EVER • at @orlandofamilystage • world premiere opening • @jahnnabeecham & @skyehillgartner created a wonderfully charming (and appropriately spooky) Halloween where things aren’t always what they appear to be • it was a joy to direct this production from top to bottom • GREAT cast with a lot of heart • creative team of designers to make the world spring to life • now all that’s left to make an alchemy of magic is YOU!
