URGE Leadership Summit (July 2026) 💛💛
This past week, I got to attend the Unite for Reproductive & Gender Equity (URGE) Leadership Summit! URGE is a Reproductive Justice organization that is focused on creating a world where we all can live with the justice, freedom, safety, and joy we deserve. It was amazing to meet so many wonderful changemakers from Alabama, California, Georgia, Kansas, Ohio, and Texas. We had a Hill Day where w had the opportunity to chat with Legislative offices and their staff about certain bills that will impact our lives, which was a first for me. During the week, we did a lot of knowledge and skill building sessions on engaging through talking to politicians, hosting events, and implementing campaigns. I plan to use these at home. I am so glad I applied, so glad I attended, and so glad I pushed myself to engage in a different capacity. Also Texas won the fun campaign “shark tank” competition where we explained ways we could try to engage voters in Texas. Y’all know I love some healthy competition. 🌚😂

this semester I took graduation pics, got into friars, visited boston, went to so many football games (that we won), saw sabrina carpenter, was a student speaker at first gen week, went to my first trail of lights + acl, and was the resident assistant to the first gen llc! there was also an election and MANY grad school application breakdowns and one time where I was sick for literally like ten days straight, but i had so much fun. excited and grateful for senior year pt 2 🫶🏼
