There are moments in coaching that go far beyond the field, and this is one of them! About 6 months ago, I stopped into a beautiful little boutique in Fleetwood called Anita Trinket after a clinic and fell in love with a custom collegiate welcome sign. Last night, one of my students and her mom surprised me with this beautiful sign. I’m sure this was tough being that they’re such big Penn State fans! ☺️

I’m blown away by their thoughtfulness and generosity. It’s a reminder that coaching has given me so much more than the game itself - it’s given me connections with incredible people.

Thank you Kristin & Izzy for such a meaningful gift! 🐢

Full circle moments like this remind me why I love this game. Years ago, these two came to watch me pitch when they were just kids. Last night, we battled for 7 innings in extreme heat/humidity! What a game! Somehow my arm had 188 pitches in it last night, 62 foul balls later! 😮 😪

I couldn’t be prouder of the athletes and young women they’ve become. The future is so bright for them, and I’m grateful our paths crossed. You girls are amazing! 💪🏼
