@takenbycarsofficial - December 2 Chapter VII

Hey, it's December 2 on December 3. It was supposed to be posted the day before but the coffee kicked in the day after, so here we are. 💥

Needless to say, this is one of my favorite tracks from Taken by Cars. The performance was from their 2025 reunion gig at the Astbury in August.

No Fomo: The Taken by Cars Reunion Gig Part 1: Taken by Cars, Pedicab, and New Lore

I was a proud friend and ecstatic fan, as Sarah's group, @takenbycarsofficial, reunited for at least one performance this year. They were joined by frequent collaborators, fellow "cardio band" and cool fellows, @pedicabmanila, and a promising young group who quickly gained a lot of favorable attention that night, @newloreworld.

The event was staged at the @astburyph in collaboration with the good folks at @lockeddownph. 🎯

A lot of things occurred that night, so this event will have several parts. 💥 In fact, the entire week was packed with cool events, which led to my going all out each night, paving the way for a system crash and a dreaded flu the following week, but I guess that's the universe's concept of balance at play. lol

@takenbycarsofficial - Uh Oh

Wow, where do I even begin with last night? Easily one of the best gigs I've been to all year. You've got a killer lineup (every single act was crazy good), a fun crowd (place is packed; lots of fellow dancy millennials), wonderful people (friends old and new), and best of all, Taken by Cars is back for at least one night (yes, you read that right--there's another one coming up but it's not my announcement to make). I danced, sang, and screamed to their music in the late 2000s. I, no, many of us in the crowd were able to do it again last night. And this track was a centerpiece. ✨️

~

Yes, I uttered "oh, shit!" upon realizing what track they're playing next. 😆

It was 20 years ago I watched Urbandub for the first time. What a memorable night in Vancouver.
