My Boys are not only brothers, they are best friends. The same circle of friends. The same interests. Surfing every free moment they had, diving and training, MMA, spending all their time together.

I have watched them wrestle and fight and laugh until they couldn’t breathe. I have watched them paddle out together, eat together, drive each other crazy and love each other harder than anyone in this world.

And then June 14th, 2025 happened.
And I watched my oldest and my youngest grow up overnight.
Isaiah and Ryder put their lives on hold. They have flown back and forth to Colorado over and over again to be next to their brother. To love him. To laugh with him. To cry with him. To argue with him.

To watch MMA with him, watch surfing videos, sing, pray, and just be there laying next to him, holding his hand. Doing all the things that bring Dakota joy.

As their mom, I do not have words for what it has done to my heart to watch this. To watch Isaiah — the big brother set down his own life and show up.
To watch Ryder — the little brother pick up his guitar in a hospital room and play over Dakota.

To watch them love him so deeply.
The brotherhood, bond and sacrifice.
That is love.
I want my boys to know that I LOVE YOU! I see every flight. Every late night. Every moment you have chosen your brother over your own plans. God sees it too. He is storing every one of those moments up for you.

Dakota is fighting harder because of you both. He always has. Ryder once wrote about his big brother ‘’At times he appears so solid its hard to handle, but I know his stubbornness, strength, and the fight in him is what is going to get him through this. If anyone can do it, it’s Dakota.” He was right. I am so proud to be the mom of these three boys. The honor of my life.
