Our summer interns are busy this week in Ohio- serving at schools, churches, and summer camps. Not only are they carrying the light of Jesus, but they’re serving in practical ways too. Meeting the needs of others is one of the greatest ways we can share the love of Jesus, even with sleepy eyes and tired bodies.

Man, had to really reflect on this reality for a while. The reality that this group, went to war for the last time together. There will be no more shoot-arounds, player development sessions, or practices. We don’t have any team bonding outings or opportunities just to hang out.

For me, they are more than just my players, they are family. They are fun, genuine, and competitive. They are loving, supportive, and compassionate. I could never have dreamed of a more amazing 1st year as a head coach. I was undeserving of the blessing to lead them but man, I’m glad God chose me.

Because of this group of players and coaches, Jefferson Lady Dragons Basketball has a new standard.
