Lately at File Under Pop, we have felt a growing urge to rediscover and remember where colour begins: as pigment, as dust, as seed.

Before it became design, before it became surface, it was part of our botany, our biology.

We want to return our focus to that essence, to let colour speak, not only as decoration, but as energy, as presence, as a living form.

Because after all, colours are part of our existence, they are how we give and receive.

To live surrounded by colour is to extend your identity outward, a gift, visible and felt by others.

The last couple of days have had the city absolutely vibrating - all thanks to 3 Days of Design. The showrooms, the installations, the people on the streets, the conversations and new connections with brands and people - it has filled me up with new ideas. There is something special about this week, the energy, the openness, the willingness to share and discuss - it is a reminder of why this city continues to inspire.

‘Confluentia Colorum’ is now open!

Confluence means the point
where streams meet and merge.

It is the moment when water,
forces, people, ideas, colours,
energies can no longer be
distinguished. They begin to move
forward as something new. It is
not about erasing differences,
but about sharing a flow.

One must pour oneself into the
stream of life, from where all
things grow.

Colours are an ancient language
between humans, not taught,
but felt. Each colour carries its
own shade, its own story, its own
presence in the world, always in
close dialogue with light.

Colours don't belong entirely to
themselves. They cannot.

Colours belong to the ones who
see them, to those who sense
them, to the people who recognize
them. In that moment, colours
are born.

We invite you to experience ‘Confluentia Colorum’ during @3daysofdesign.

A site-specific installation at Marmorkirken exploring colour as substance, energy and relation - formed through light yet experienced through the body as vibration, atmosphere and movement.

The project is curated by our creative director, Josephine Yaa Akuamoa, working to transform the church into an immersive environment where colour is seen, felt and heard. Through art, craft, scent and sound, it reflects on presence, material awareness and colour’s power to shape emotion, perception and human connection.
