Collaborations are the best! So much fun to bounce ideas off of each other – to think outside the box and create something unique and exciting that wouldn’t be possible on our own. We have had such an amazing experience collaborating with the UBER TALENTED Isabelle of @isatopia_ . Here are a few of our fun projects she has created… First of many – we are certain of that!

Rendered in fresh shades and minimalist motifs, grids, ginghams, and plaids give any décor an edge. Check out a few of our favorite checked finds, including the bamboo plates from @fitzbennetthome, canvas napkins from @isatopia_, and linen tablecloth from @spruce_tree_studio pictured here, at the link in our bio.

It’s finally feeling like spring here in Maine!
And that means it’s the perfect time to introduce you to @isatopia_
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Isatopia is a small one-woman creative business created by Isabelle Gelot offering fun illustrated products meant to bring a little magic into your everyday. The collection draws from earthy folk patterns, playful childhood stories, and bright landscapes from the artist’s own journeys.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Isabelle runs @isatopia_ out of an old house on the rocky coast of Maine. Nothing makes her happier than swimming in cold water and feeling the fresh ocean air. We feel like kindred spirits already and can’t wait to share more from Isabelle over the coming months!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We think Isabelle’s folk stickers make the PERFECT addition to any Easter basket so be sure to check out her products in our shop or online!

Since we opened, we’ve done our best to feature the work of local artists and makers. Many of you have asked about the art on our walls — it’s all local, too! If you’re still shopping for holiday gifts, please consider supporting some of these talented local folks! 💙

Shop small and find it all

Small businesses have always been the backbone of our communities. While big businesses get the headlines, small businesses are humbly opening shop everyday to serve the people in their neighborhoods, the friends and families they have come to know and love. They greet people face to face, with a warm smile and a sincere “thank you” because they appreciate the business and the opportunity to contribute to places where they live.

Together we create our own neighborhoods with care and respect, hand in hand with the people around us. We open our doors to serve and hope that you will support us and small businesses like us during this holiday season.

Most of the items we offer won’t be found online, and represent the best of other small businesses; women owned, minority owned, quality driven and handmade items from here in Los Angeles and around the world. There is no store quite like HYA West Adams because there is no place quite like West Adams itself.

On this Small Business Saturday we hope you’ll remember that businesses like ours are the heart of our communities, and gifts given from the heart will be adored by the people that you adore. Thanks for your consideration, and as always thanks for your support :-)

Happy Holidays to Everyone!

-Lene, Amy, Mark and the HYA West Adams family
