In Part 2 of my conversation with @isha_manchala2012 , I asked:
“What are you shooting for the rest of the year?”

Her goals include climbing the ITF Junior Rankings, representing Team USA internationally, and continuing to develop on the global stage. 🏆🇺🇸

🎾 The pressure of competing on one of tennis’s biggest stages is real.

At just 14 years old, @isha_manchala2012 stepped onto the stage at the US Open Junior Girls Championships—and upset the ITF junior world No. 26. 🇺🇸🔥

That is an incredible achievement, but it also reveals an important lesson about pressure.

There is pressure when you face a higher-ranked opponent on a big stage.

But there is also reverse pressure*
—when you face a younger player, enter as the favorite, or become the player everyone wants to beat.

One moment, you’re the hunter.

The next, you’re the hunted.

True mental toughness isn’t determined by your opponent’s age, ranking, reputation, or the size of the stage. 🧠

It is your ability to remain connected to your Ideal Performance State, regardless of the external circumstances:

✅ Stay present
✅ Control what you can control
✅ Maintain your focus
✅ Compete one point at a time
✅ Trust yourself and access the flow state—the zone

Isha continues to demonstrate her ability to perform in both situations—whether she is challenging a higher-ranked opponent or carrying the expectations of becoming the player others want to defeat.

Every experience like this strengthens her confidence, certainty, and belief that she is capable of meeting the moment.

✨ If an opportunity presents itself, it means you are ready for it.

Congratulations, Isha, on competing at the US Open Junior Girls Championships** and achieving such an impressive victory at only 14 years old! 🏆🎾

Special recognition to @vdmtennis @derekport and @david_saye for their continued guidance and support throughout her journey. 👏

Special thanks to @BaselinePassTennis for these incredible US Open moments featuring Isha Manchala! 🎾✨

Which pressure feels more challenging to you: chasing the favorite or being the hunted?

From World No. 3 to World No. 1. 🌍🏆🎾

When I interviewed Isha Manchala after she represented Team USA at Les Petits As in Tarbes, France, her honesty and self-awareness stood out immediately.

✨ “I need to believe in myself more.”
✨ “There is always more to learn.”
✨ “I have to get comfortable being uncomfortable.”
✨ “Being part of Team USA taught me patience, teamwork, and how to think beyond myself.”

𝗧𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝗜𝘀𝗵𝗮 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭 𝗨𝗧𝗥-𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀’ 𝟭𝟰𝗨 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗲𝗿, 𝗡𝗼. 𝟭 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗹𝘆 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 𝗪𝗶𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹𝘀’ 𝟭𝟰𝗨 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻! 🇺🇸🏆

This is what a champion’s mindset looks like.

It isn’t the absence of nerves—it is choosing to believe despite them. It is remaining teachable, embracing discomfort, and continuing to work when no one is watching. 💪🔥

Your next level begins the moment your belief becomes greater than your fear.
