Clarke Central High School freshman Emeline Koons, who plays swing on both varsity and junior varsity girls soccer, (left) stands with her brother, CCHS junior and boys varsity soccer right back, center back and midfielder Isham Koons (right) in the CCHS Media Center Courtyard on March 24. The Koons have both been playing soccer together for two years, following in the footsteps of their parents and their older brother, CCHS Class of 2024 alumnus Augie Koons, who is now the CCHS head JV boys coach. “It’s nice having a sibling that plays the same sport just because when I (came) up to high school, I (knew) people from coming to past games and knowing coaches (is helpful),” Emeline said.
