💙 Sigma Chi Sweetheart Challenge 💙

Hi everyone! As Sweetheart, one of my responsibilities is raising money for the Huntsman Cancer Foundation. My goal is to raise $3,000 to support cancer research, new treatments, prevention, and better outcomes for patients and their families. 🎗️

For the past 3 years, Sigma Chi has become so much more than just an organization I support. It has given me so many meaningful memories, friendships, and the opportunity to be part of something bigger than myself and the WIU community. Being able to now serve as their sweetheart makes this experience even more special to me.

Cancer is something that has touched so many lives, which is why the Huntsman Cancer Institute holds such a special place in my heart. I’m so excited to announce that as my sweetheart term begins, I’ll be participating in this year’s Sigma Chi Sweetheart Challenge! Sweethearts across the country are coming together to raise money for cancer research and the Huntsman Cancer Institute.

My goal is to raise $1,500 by May 2027, and I would love your help! Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference and will also count toward Sigma Chi’s fundraising goal at WIU.

💙💛 26/27 Sweetheart Challenge💛💙

I am incredibly honoured to represent the Sigma Chi Theta Psi Chapter as their 26/27 Sweetheart and to take part in the Huntsman Sweetheart Challenge.

Huntsman holds such an important place in the fight against cancer, working toward a future where cancer is not something that families have to fear. Cancer has affected all of us in some way, whether directly or indirectly, and my family is no exception.

My grandma was diagnosed with a rare brain tumour that caused her to lose the vision in one eye. After an incredibly difficult journey, I am so grateful to say that she is now in remission. Her experience has shown me just how deeply cancer can impact not only the person diagnosed, but everyone who loves and supports them.

I truly believe that we can be the generation that finds a cure. Every donation, no matter the amount, brings us one step closer to making that a reality.

An historic day at Washington State University Beta Upsilon chapter of Sigma Chi as Grand Consul Ryan Temby and Int’l Sweetheart Kenzie Loomis pays the Sigs a visit Friday. They took a tour of our magnificent t house and had a great Q&A in the Morgan Library. Later, both emphasized privately how impressed they were with the guys.
