POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Some things deserve to be left on read, and these four are at the top of the list.

"I'll start Monday."
Skipping the warm-up.
Training alone.
And lifting for your ego instead of your goals.
Ghost all four, and keep the team.

What are you ghosting this month?

I THOUGHT I WAS READY… BUT HYROX HAD OTHER PLANS FOR ME. 🔥

One year of training, discipline, dedication, and sacrifice brought me to Boston to compete in my very first HYROX.

Everything was going well until something unexpected happened: the cramps hit. My legs stopped responding the way I wanted them to, but my determination to finish never disappeared.

I crossed the finish line in 2:02:46. It wasn’t the time I had hoped for, but I walked away with a lesson I’ll never forget.

At 44 years old, I discovered a new passion. HYROX has become part of my life, and this is only the beginning.

Still grinding.
Still putting in the work.
Still becoming a better “me” through it all.

I’m learning that the turf doesn’t just get you dirty—it’s also a place where refining happens.

It’s where you get uncomfortable.
Where your weaknesses get exposed.
Where your limits get challenged.
Where you discover there’s more in you than you thought.

And sometimes becoming better means breaking away from what’s familiar.

That part can hurt.

Growth will stretch you. Change will make you uncomfortable. Becoming who you’ve never been will require you to do things you’ve never done.

But maybe some of the pain isn’t a sign that something is wrong.

Maybe it’s evidence that something is changing.

So I’ll keep showing up.
Keep getting dirty.
Keep pushing beyond what’s comfortable.

Because every time I step onto this turf, I’m not just training my body.

I’m refining the person I’m becoming. 😤🔥

It’s race week!!!! So July 22 I messaged Brittany about a 1/2 marathon ticket she had available … that Sunday July 26 I did my first 4 miles with Susanna ended up doing 5! The next weekend 8 miles in fries Va - with first 1/2 of 5k Nesslyn ran with me! The next Monday 11 miles done! (This was my most challenging- dead heat of the midday and hello luteal phase - lots of prayers during all these runs and the small runs in-between!

I have grown my relationship with Jesus so much during these miles- something about pushing your body beyond what you think you can do into what God can do with your obedience.

That goes into my next point. Signing up for this 1/2 marathon has pushed me. I am not a runner. It has pushed my body and my mind in so many ways! Obedience to take care of my body (the temple of the Lord) in a way that can push my worldly limits and rely on Him for my strength and endurance. There has been lots of pushing, encouraging, praying, learning, recovering, resting, running, Hyroxing (that definitely has to be an official word in the near future) ohhhhhh AND the start of pickleballing 🥒🏓🎾( also has to be a word soon!) lol 😝🤗🤣

43+ miles in 3 weeks! 🏃🏻‍♀️💨👟🏋🏻‍♀️💪🏻
let’s go!!! If I can do it - you can too!

Soooo race week is here and I am beyond excited! Thank you to everyone - family friends and everyone inbetween for helping push me and encourage me! Prayers would be so appreciated along with if you would like to send an encouraging word for me to hear while running as well! #activelifestyle #halfmarathontraining #raceweek #hyrox #withfamily

Sometimes, God has a funny way of letting us settle from the chaos, the hectic-ness and the noise long enough to pause and find beauty in seeing how every step we’ve taken may not have always felt comfortable or “safe” but there was purpose. You fast-forward and you see how you wouldn’t be where you are or capable of what you’re doing right now if it wasn’t for each and every one of those steps.

The road still isn’t easy—there’s many bumps daily, but we’re here and we’re still taking steps!

Grateful. 🙏
