We are so excited to bring you a third year of Comox Valley Consignment Crawl: a fun and sustainable way to shop and explore new shops!

🛍♻️🌎🎉🥳

Between January 15th - Febuary 15th, bring your friends and see what pre-loved treasures the Valley's consignment stores have to offer.

HOW TO:
⭐️Stop by any of the 7 participating stores to collect an entry card and receive your first stamp to get started (no purchase is necessary)

⭐️Once you've collected all 7 stamps you will be entered to win 1 of 3 grand prizes in gift cards to all participating stores:
💰Prize 1: $280
💰Prize 2: $210
💰Prize 3: $140

⭐️Anyone who collects all 7 stamps will then receive a recurring 20% discount card valid at each store between February 16th through March 1st.

I know that this is a time of quick sales, huge discounts, and spending way too much money (generally) but I just wanted to post about something that I’ve found to be one of my biggest takeaways from being a small business owner … and that is the love, community, and connection you grow with other small business owners. If this post helps you find one new local small business, then it will be worth it 🫶

It’s something that took me totally off guard if I’m honest… this is not something I did thinking that I would gain a community from it - and I have. From chats with fellow makers, in person connections, and DMs with folks I’ve never met but feel like I’ve know for an eternity it has been one of the best parts of this side hustle. These people may be represented by a business, but their heart and their soul comes through in their craft, and in their livelihoods, and to find a group of badass (mostly) women is just the biggest gift. So whether you’re looking around for some deals, or another cool business to follow, I thought I’d give some recommendations of my faves below. Some I know personally, some I know professionally, and some I don’t know at all but love their products so much it’s worth including on this list. Some who deserve to be on this list are no longer operating and to you, I miss you 🤍. To all those who have supported me and my fellow small business badasses (group name anyone? :p), as always, THANK YOU 🫶 your support is NOTICED and is the only way we can keep doing what we’re doing 🥰 if you have more folks to add to this list please tag them in comments below and we’ll see how many small businesses we can really shine a light on ✨

Celebrate and learn historical facts about Pride as we ramp up to Pride Weekend in @downtowncourtenay!!

@comoxvalleypride has done an incredible job creating a scavenger hunt with the participating business right here in the downtown core. Stop by the stores, read about the historical fact at their location, and collect a stamp to show you have checked it out! While you are there, have a look at the services and products they offer, you might find your new favorite item while strengthening your stance as an ally for the 2SLGBTQI+ community.

This is all taking place until the final draw on August 30th. Join us for the scavenger hunt, Pulse on the Plaza (Aug 22nd 5pm-9pm), the Pride Parade (Aug 23rd 12pm-1pm), and Pride in the Park (Aug 23rd 12pm-3:30pm).
