I've had so many friends talk to me about Mad Father over the years, but I had somehow never played it myself! When I saw it for around $5 on the eShop, I figured why not? 😚

Mad Father is a psychological horror game where you play as Aya, an 11 year old girl exploring her family's haunted mansion while uncovering the horrifying secrets surrounding her father.

The game is mostly focused on puzzles, which honestly reminded me a lot of Corpse Party. Nothing was particularly difficult, but they were consistently fun to solve~

I also really enjoyed the atmosphere. The pixel art does a great job creating creepy moments, and the soundtrack fits the game well. The gameplay was fun overall, although some of the chase sequences felt a little rough and could have used more polish. ✨️

As for the story, I thought it was pretty good considering how short the game is. It kept me interested from beginning to end, even if I'm not the biggest fan of the ending itself 😂 I can definitely see why this became such a beloved classic for so many people. I give it 7/10, a short but enjoyable horror experience that I'd absolutely recommend. Although... I'd still tell most people to play Corpse Party instead hehe 😚

More Final Fantasy boosters because at least these aren't being snatched up by scalpers and still have normal prices (looking at u Pokémon cards)

Very busy day ahead and I haven't even had time to game these past few days, I'll try to make up for it next week ✨️

It’s Halloween month, so ofc I have to post some Snackisnacks 🙂‍↕️

I’ve been posting pretty late lately, my brain is a little chaotic these days 😵‍💫 Some will tell me it’s bad for the reach, but y’all know how much I don’t care 😂

Anyway, I’ll go to sleep now, maybe a review tomorrow if the lighting allows it (damn fall 🥲)
Oh and vote for your snacks this week!! 😙👇

Season: A Letter to the Future is a game that had caught my attention ever since its announcement trailer 😭✨

It’s a really unique mix of post-apocalyptic and pre-apocalyptic. You play as a young girl exploring a valley before the end of an era, recording sounds, taking photos, and documenting everything she can in a journal for future generations.

As someone who absolutely loves scrapbooking… I ADORED this part of the game 🥹💕 Filling out the journal was incredibly satisfying, and honestly my favorite part of the entire experience. I just wish there had been more space to place photos inside the book.

Speaking of photos… I accidentally created my own biggest problem 😂 The game takes place over the course of a single day, and time passes gradually in real time until night falls. The issue is that I apparently take WAY too much time exploring because I was only halfway through the game when it already became nighttime hahaha 😭 Which means I spent the second half of the game in the dark, and a lot of my pictures ended up looking super gloomy. The world is still really beautiful visually, but I definitely wish I had gotten to enjoy more of it in daylight ☀️

The gameplay can also feel a bit clunky at times. I got stuck in certain places during my playthrough, and overall the game could’ve used a little more polish. That being said, the environments are so gorgeous that I sometimes forgot my character was literally floating above the ground 😂

The story itself was interesting enough, but honestly… I was way more emotionally invested in completing my journal and documenting the world around me 🙂‍↕️

Overall, I’d give the game a 7/10 ✨
It’s a really beautiful and unique experience that deserved way more attention than it got. With a bit more polish in certain areas and a stronger story, I genuinely think it could’ve been way better.

Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time - Switch 2.

Wow. Just wow.

Nintendo’s recent Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, finally showcased the game in motion and it looks absolutely spectacular. The attention to detail is phenomenal. I’m so looking forward to play this updated classic….

Who else is hyped for this game? 💚

Me and my oldest daughter just started our next co-op game, Untitled Goose Game by House House. We were playing it over the weekend and it’s absolutely hilarious. Who’d have thought it would be so much fun to play as a cheeky goose. Once again, finding myself loving the indie titles as much as the big studio games. Any other couch co-op games you’d recommend for me and my 6 year old daughter?
