They are not just pyjama pants. They are sewn together memories. Took me a while, but I finished them today.

One year ago, we spent some unforgettable moments in Scotland. We visited the Islay Woollen Mill and bought real Scottish wool, which is now the pants. It was one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. The same day we also went to Ardbeg distillery and had a tour there. Our tour guide was amazing and signed the bottle of Homecoming that we bought there.

The pattern really is just a basic pyjama pant.

The patches of @islaywoollenmill and @ardbeg to remind where the pants came from.

This photo is from the Islay Woollen Mill just after the fabric was bought.

Did I say one of the most beautiful places I have visited?

Our tour guide was so fun and also explained everything so nicely.

The trip was our ”honeymoon” for the 15th anniversary. I’m not the biggest whisky person but I love to find out how stuff is made.

Also the weather was really nice, so we got so many pictures. And about a million memories.

The tour guide Izzy signed the bottle. Homecoming can only be bought on Islay.

I aligned the fabric at the seams!

Thank you, Islay Woollen Mill, isle of Islay and everyone we met there!

A true heart project, now finished and real!

I brought Lagavulin 🥃 tweed from Islay — woven in Scotland — and carried it from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 to Germany 🇩🇪 , then all the way to Vietnam 🇻🇳

In Vietnam, I sat down with a shoemaker and we finalized the design and built them by hand:

part buffalo leather, part Lagavulin tweed — and yes, with an integrated pocket for a whisky flask.

This is my favorite whisky, turned into something you can wear.

Islay fabric. Vietnamese craftsmanship.

Not just boots. A story you walk in.

I am very excited to launch some beautiful new islay jewellery today. The story starts with our chocolate brow zwartble sheep, we use there wool to produce knitting yarn and tweed for the shop. The tweed was made here on Islay for us by Marcus @islaywoollenmill then in collaboration with @ruthamorrisonjewellery we had it created into 3 stunning islay and Jura necklaces. Please watch today’s video right through to see them.

The @islaywoollenmill (first established in 1883) has produced designs featured in the movies Braveheart, Forest Gump and Rob Roy. Still thinking about the Sherlock Holmes hat. 🤔

A look back to my most favourite place on earth, and how, as a 13-year-old, a scene from the movie Braveheart stuck with me for the rest of my life! It inspired a 25-year search just to see it with my own eyes. Later, i was lucky to recreate this as a bit of fun and recreate an image that was later signed by Mel Gibson himself. It's become my go-to place, when im feeling a bit low and tired of life, it's just like visiting an old friend. Hopefully i can visit soon... 🏔🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💛
