There’s magic “In the Air”

What can I really say about “In the Air” other than it’s a love song…
about something a lot of people happen to love. 😏

Big up to Shelton Garner for the horns of life on this one.

“Memories from Yaad” available now!!

One thing about Jamaica is that it’s colorful—from the land, to the food, and most of all, the people.
.#
I want to introduce you to a friend of mine and a prominent personality on Memories from Yaad: the Island Ambassador, Yah-I The Brownie Man.
.
You’ll be hearing more from him as we kick off our new series, “Yah-I Said It.” 😉

“Memories from Yaad is more than an album for me. It’s been a journey back to my roots.

Truth is, I’ve always wrestled with identity—living somewhere betwixt and between. The idea of making a reggae album felt daunting because I wanted it to be authentic. But what is authenticity if it’s not true to who I am?

I was born in the U.S. and have lived most of my life here, but my entire family is in Jamaica. It’s the world that shaped me as a child and the one I return to as a man with a deeper understanding and appreciation—the culture that raised me, fed my spirit, and the sound that spoke to me long before I found my own.

It’s that duality that turned this project into something so much more… ME. A reggae-soul project that keeps the melodies, harmonies, and storytelling I love while giving me a whole new set of colors to paint with.”

My birthday surprise album drop — even a surprise to me! After an incredible year of traveling the globe, I decided last night to release my new album, “Memories from Yaad,” on my birthday. I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it. And if it brings you a little island joy, please share it with someone who might want to catch a vibe.
