$Excited to see how inexperienced investors are about to be played by smart money. . Stock splits are not enticing to institutional investors which account for 89% of the equity in the stock market. . They used to matter before fractional shares and many more companies paid dividends. . Lowering the price of a stock doesn’t increase its value, it doesn’t change the business model, it doesn’t change the leadership, Amazon doesn’t pay dividends so it does not increase your total dividend payout, 🤷🏾‍♀️. . What does it do? Entice investors who think they are getting a bargain because it’s has a lower price. . If you owned it before then split, what did the split do for you? . Nothing. Your equity is the same. . Institutional investors are going to watch retail investors buy, then they will short them. . Most retail investors won’t know what’s going on. All they will see is the price dropping and sell. THEN institutional investors will buy at a price potentially LOWER than it was when it split. . Institutional investors hate froth and they know how to get rid of it. . You gotta understand the game and how to play it before you jump in. . ***Look at Apple’s historical price chart when it split AND it paid dividends. . #investingmentor #masseyinvesting #beatinflation #stocks #stockmarket #investing #investors #financialcoach #researcher #educator #investingforbeginners #Investingtips #earnings #money #business #economy #investingstrategy #dividends #retirement #debtfreecommunity #entrepreneur #investinyourself #millionairemindset #strategy #mentor$
