POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Welcome to Field Notes by T. Edward, a new content series designed to bring our suppliers, their places, and their stories to life through a travel-guide lens.

Our first stop on this journey is Upstate, New York, where @currentcassis, @methodspirits, and @isolationproof all make their delicious products. We spent some time with them in their communities; tasting, wandering, and getting to know them a little better.

To start, we’ve gathered a few of our favorite spots we visited Upstate, where you can find products from all of our friends!

I have a certain appreciation for every season in the Catskills but if I had to pick a favorite month here, I think it would be September. Tomatoes hanging heavy on the vine, abundant wildflowers lining the backroads, still warm enough to swim in the daytime but the when the evenings cool off you can comfortably hang by a bonfire late into the night. The light in the late afternoon gets a special tint to it and the leaves start to turn bright colors a little more every day. It’s all so fleeting, which is part of why it’s so special. But this year we can hang on to that late summer spirit a little longer in cocktail-form because our brilliant friends at @isolationproof found a way to bottle it. Enjoy this gorgeous Catskills Heirloom Tomato Gin in a herbaceous martini garnished with a basil leaf or simply with tonic and the last few cherry tomatoes from your garden. I’m personally stashing one away on my bar cart for the shorter, darker days ahead when happy hour starts just a little bit earlier, because just like summer, this limited release won’t be around forever. 🍅 🍸 ❤️
Thanks for the photo op @fincaseremos and my last big haul of your beautiful tomatoes!

Some fun ones from the launch party for @isolationproof ‘s new Tomato Gin held at Little Big this week.

Thanks to all those that stopped by, and for @freezer_martini and the gang at Isolation for this incredible new expression.

Kicked off #NegroniWeek with @isolationproof and @empiricalspirits at @littlebignyc for the launch of the new Isolation Proof Tomato Gin. The Bitter Negroni with #Pearline was too good. Cheers!

The M

Our perfect tool for playing dirty.

Vodka and gin fat-washed with goat cheese + a filthy amount of olive brine to match. Stirred and served in the coldest glass we have to offer.

Paired with oysters and caviar: a damn good time is always to be had.
