Join @isoliamusic for the launch of Sonríe Al Diablo — The Trilogy — a three-chapter EP exploring heat, devotion and shadow through witchy alt-pop, Latin fusion, dark romance and ethereal soundscapes. Marking the birth of Isolía, the project opens a portal into her dark mythology — a world of love, longing, temptation, faith, fear and the shadows we inherit. Experience the world of Sonríe Al Diablo brought to life with a full live performance, supported by special guest performances from @emiiliagrace and @isycappo throughout the night at @low302

Come descend into the heat.
Come dance with the devil.
Come meet Isolía.

@isoliamusic serenades the Blacktown as the Sun sets to make way for Golden Hour. She performs a series of indie pop songs in acoustic renditions, mainly originals, as she possesses a crisp mellow vocal deliveries (and guitar chords/notes) filled with locked in concentration and focus. Interestingly there's fresnel lights, 2 on downstage left and 2 on downstage right, to emanate warm lighting onto her as night approached.

She explains that the song Moonchild is special to her which makes me want to listen to this properly once I return home. On initial listen, Moonchild has Metallica Load/Reload and also a bit of acoustic Trivium vibes on the basis the tuning (or Capo 2 on her guitar) and also the C#-B guitar riffs which evokes a serious tone in the instrumentation.

She acknowledges her songs are like ballads and we are allowed to fall asleep. However thanks to my 90 min nap, it slowly got me fully awake heading into the night, combined with red bull during her performance.

Slow Burn (passion, musical influences and enjoyment) is on the list as she describes her music as electro-pop with some afro beat influences to them.

Pacific Ocean Love (descent into devotion) is also on the list; he song immediately gives me Muse and Dream Theater vibes thanks to the chord progressions - I think this is great in establishing a devotion into something, like a hobby, you are really passionate about in terms of overall environment

2nd song she released she described a "haunting nightmare" where she implores us to pay attention to the lyrics about a witch, about how her night went down. I think this is good encouragement for us to investigate the lyrics to uncover the story. This also creates a feeling of genuine honesty in her recounting / storytelling.

Also it's really rare for to see/hear her perform a 1 hour set; however she is well prepared and organised for this as there is a versatile selection of songs she performed, in terms of mainly originals to showcase her discography and a few covers. Nevertheless a set I enjoyed which got me keen to explore ded city ruins in Newtown hours after her set while overcoming the heavy winds along the way
