Good day for the kid. Before his last discus throw he said he was gonna go for 120(116-10) was his second throw. He went up and gave it some ummph and lo and behold he hit 121. In shot he rushed and did all 3 throws trying to book over to hurdles. We won’t do that again. Had some technique issues the last couple hurdles but held majority of the hurdles with proper steps. Always room for improvement and love seeing his growth!

Talking with @hulkdabeast99 the other day, we discussed how wonderful the fathers we know are and I said how fortunate our sons are to have such positive role models.

They love to push that tired ‘absent Black father’ narrative…but every single Black dad I know? Present. Active. Showing up. Standing tall. Loving loud. Protecting, providing, and pouring into their babies.

These men are breaking cycles, building legacies, and redefining what fatherhood looks like every single day.

Give these kings their praise, they earned it. (There are one hundred more I could add photos to this reel of but I have to get back to work!)

Teaching the game isn’t about football. WHO players become in this game will carryover to HOW they live their LIVES. You can either OWN who you are, or spend the rest of your life looking for people to give you permission to be great. #AMDG
