“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23

From the great state of Ohio to the Hills of Bluefield State, help us welcome, freshmen, Israelle “Rae” to the Big Blue family!

At Bluefield State, we believe the heart of a player matters just as much as the talent they bring, and @israellesmith_ embodies both.Big things come in small packages.

Rae is an explosive, lightning-fast guard who gets up and down the floor with elite speed while staying under control. She attacks the basket fearlessly, finishes through contact, and isn’t afraid of traffic.
Leave her open? She can shoot it, too. Whether it’s attacking the rim or knocking down shots from the perimeter, she knows how to make defenses pay.

On the defensive end, she’s relentless. Her smothering defense creates turnovers, fuels the fast break, and turns defense into offense in a hurry. She plays with energy, toughness, and a competitive edge every possession.

Rae is the type of student-athlete who represents what we’re building; a competitor with heart, character, and a winning mindset.

Big Blue Nation, help us welcome Israelle “Rae” to the Hill!
The future is bright... and we’re coming to win. 💙💛

“The most important thing is to try and inspire people so that they can be great in whatever they want to do.”
More than a team — a Sisterhood.

If only you knew what we had to endure as a team, as a family… many would’ve folded, gave up and tried again next year. RESILIENCE is the word that comes to mind when I think of this group, and thats only scratching the surface. To our Seniors, 4 Districts, Regional Runner Up, Regional Champ, and a Final Four what a run you had! I’m forever grateful I got be a small part of your success! Now it’s your time to go out into the World and be GREAT! Lady Warriors will be back next year making some noise, BELIEVE THAT! ✌️

Here’s some of my favorite pics from the season from the GOAT @coopercaptures.llc
