Greetings Family!

On Saturday, November 23rd at 7pm Akoko Nante Ensemble will present Nantekrom: A Love Story. This performance we call an African Neo Folk Ballet will feature live orchestration, vocal and dance performances from many Akoko Nante and uber talented guest performers. We will present chapter one in a 3 part trilogy wherein we meet a young couple. We follow them as they navigate love and hardship and ask which one is stronger. Tickets are available on Eventbrite. Link in bio

This project is made possible (in part) by the Queens Council on the Arts with public funds from the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs in partnership with the City Council.

Good Morning Family! Meet, Rohan Afflick, a unique 19 year old Cameroonian Tikar 🇨🇲 man from Hollis, NY who wants to be a film actor. Training my speed and learning skills and African rhythms with @bambaradrumdance, being in LAE for 3 years, doing all original productions like Living Legacy or The Legend of Igbo Landing; has honed and developed his acting and african drumming skills tremendously. This adds on to his prior 8 years of performing experience drumming in a variety of dance classes, dance recitals and major events.
